bro are you slow?
It depends on what it is, Some times I’m fast at somethings and slower at others!
Looking at this kit right now. I just bought a 2011 with 99K miles and omg the shifter is long AF. Clutch feels like I have to kick it a foot and a half in, too. Crazy.
You forgot to put your right foot in and your right foot out.
😂 I know right!
I wonder if a key that can be used on my 04 & 07 Toyota Matrix?
I believe Toms keys sells them for the Matrix as well! And they should program very similar to this Corolla.
Thanks A Lot Man! U are the only one who explained it so nicely with all wiring and stuff.
Did you find out if you can take off the silver ring to paint black?
👍😎🤙
👍 👍 👍
might be strange but I just love that style of key they had for the 10th gen corollas and other models.
This was a nice style key! I like them a lot since the remote and key are all 1! No need for extra fobs!
Does your have a little play or does the camera fit snug? I feel like I’m able to push mine up just a bit and there is very slight play.
Mine fit just as snug as the stock plastic piece. Make sure to transfer over the little red clips from the old trim piece! If you have already done that, make sure it is snapping into the correct spot, which can be slightly tricky if not positioned good!
I got a replacement remote for my 04 at autozone for like $20. I had to do the manual way :( Took me like 20 tries, but I did get it done. Thankfully my current keys are not "chipped", though everyone seems to not be willing to make more of them outside of a legit locksmith (got mine cut at Bi-mart for free). My 2011 GMC Sierra has "chipped" keys, but they took 15 seconds to do 2 keys with no tool/dongle. You need a dumb obd2 dongle like you needed for your keys, to add a remote to a 2011 GMC Sierra :( . I'm lookin at $90 for a single remote and the obd2 thing, but I'll only have to spend that once. Thank you for the video and link though! If I ever do swap up to a newer corolla, I'll snag that cheappy dongle :D
Having keys without the chip makes everything much easier! Nowadays on most new cars you need many fancy scan tools in order to program a key! Luckily this corolla is fairly simple with the dumb dongle!
Can auto corolla hold being turbo change?
Yes it can, I have seen them go over 200whp, but the transmission will start to slip under hard accelerations!
Nice video,i have question, where u cut the keys?.
It was as a small mom and pop lock smith. No other places will cut these keys!
Very nice! Those look exactly like my OEM keys so I think you did great for under $100!
Totally agree. Just 1 key alone from the dealer is about $200. And other locksmiths are about 150-180$ for 1 key.
@@BrandonStellmach That's nuts. This is a good find and I'm sure there are other 10th Gen owners that will find this a huge benefit!
Hello, I have a Toyota Corolla 2009 and I'm from Israel. Our Corolla in Israel is 1.6. We don't have more than that and I want to do a 1.8 like yours. Can you please send me a precise model of the engine and transmission. That way I know what to order and there is a way to talk to you about some more things with easy access. Thank you.
nice what were the other two buttons?
Honk and trunk release button
As mentioned in the other comment, it is the trunk release and panic button.

I know this is a 2 years old video, but I have that same headunit and dongle and when I connect the dongle that Autokit app doesn't recognize it. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks!
Best thing to do is try a different USB coming from the radio, if that doesn’t work, it is most likely an issue with the dongle. I have heard of these going bad!
I noticed you have tweeters in the door by the side mirrors. This might suggest you do have an amplifier which would be under the front passenger seat I've got a 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT, and that's how it's equipped. I bought a different brand headunit on eBay and it uses the same new plastic bezel as yours, but they sent me the wrong harness, so I'll have to do some splicing too
time to wrap the roof and the top of the hatch...
I thought the same thing! Might do that soon!
Is there a trick to keeping it on? Or something I’m misunderstanding? I started my car, iMT was on automatically, then I turned the car off, waited a few seconds and turned it back on, iMT was not automatically on
I have noticed the same thing. For some reason if you restart your car fairly quickly it will go to the opposite, must be a setting on Toyota ECU. Possibly if you stall out and start the car again once you already have it on, must try to keep it on. But normal day to day driving and once you turn the car off and get back in later on it will stay on.
@@BrandonStellmach thank you for the quick reply and details! Just wanted to make sure I didn’t get a lemon or something. Much appreciated!
Sorry, I would like to know, what is the model of the base engine for these modifications?
This is a 1.8L 2ZR-FE engine.
Chrome looks better
The Chrome has been growing on me!
I like.it way better than mine right now. Very clean
Thank you! I appreciate it!
Nice build sir 👏👏
Thank you!
How did you mount the new actuator to the door panel? The shot wasn’t clear enough.
It was more of a trial and error, until I found the spot that worked. and once I did. I just screwed it to the door panel.
@@BrandonStellmach did you need extra 10mm bolts for the actuator brackets? I can’t figure out a good spot for mine so I figured I’d try and mirror what you did. I have the exact same car and want this to be as seemless as possible haha
It has been a while since I installed these on my car, but from what I remember, I just used what came with the locks. I put the links in the description to what I bought.
@@BrandonStellmach thanks dude! I’m going to attempt the install this weekend haha wish me luck!

Ive had my corolla with 83k for 15 days now and im glad youve made all these project videos i can watch do for my little car! Amazing work dude!
Awesome! I have plenty videos of projects for the Corolla!
I get my hood struts tomorrow and the shifter link cable bushings a day after. Im hyped! 🎉
This os beyond my capabilities. Are there businesses that can do this for me?
There really is not many places that would do this. I would recommend you and a buddy just try to tackle this for a weekend project!
She looks good!!
Thank you!
Yep. the widebody gets dirty easily.
I have learned that! These help a little bit!
Where are you from my brother, can you help me order those parts 😊
I am from Florida. I put all my links in the description of my videos! mostly come from Amazon and Ebay.
Ticking sound, fuel injectors. Even the luxury cars Lexus have the same engine ticking sound
I have learned that! very normal for these types of engines!
Please confirm you were able to reach the center jacking point (bolt on cross member as shown in GR Corolla manual) with your Daytona 3 Ton low profile jack. Your first attempt showed you placed the jack not deep enough and than the video cuts to the next scene where you're living the car.
Yes I was able to reach the cross member, it is a very awkward Jack point, because you only have a few inches to move the handle for the first couple inches of lifting, and after it goes smoother. But you can do it!
Good for pavement princess
I agree! Spend about 99% on the pavement. Have yet to try out the AWD system!
Heck yeah, Nice and clean! Lets hope they do last along time for you :D
Thank you! I hope they last a while as well! Seems to be great quality!
Good to see that you installed a spoiler, and yes, this car needs one! It looks good! It's nice that the locators came with it because the OEM spoiler costs twice as much and it doesn't come with locators. I have the Extreme Online Store front CF lip and I love it. I just received the new side skirts and rear spats so I can't wait to get those installed.
The spoiler sets it off and makes it look much more aggressive! I have been looking for a nice front lip for this car. I have been looking at the lip from EOS, it looks good!
@@BrandonStellmach Yes, the front lip looks great and fits well. I get compliments on it all of the time. I just received the new side skirts and rear spats from EOS too. I will wrap them with the forged CF to match the rest of my car before I install them.
After some of the construction I had to drive through on my road trip I was glad that I had installed the Rally Armor mud flaps. So how have you been enjoying your GRC? I find it so fun owning 2 Corolla Turbos!
I do worry these don’t offer enough protection, but also don’t really like the look of the Rally armor mudflaps that much. But so far have been loving the GRC, both the turbo corollas drive completely different, which makes driving them both fun in different ways!
Are the mud flaps holding up well? Have they discolored in any way?
@@BrandonStellmach I totally agree with that, they are both fun but different. I like the Rally Armor because I think of the GRC as a rally car and it fits that look. I've seen some owners local to me have to replace some of the MegaChip ones as they didn't stay on and/or broke. Hopefully you have better luck!
@@hasonlavajunk9774they have been holding up great, I have had them on for about a month now and sticking good and looking good!
Glad that they are flexible. Fiberglass is often brittle and will be destroyed in ministry impact. 👍 😎 🤙
Yeah that makes them nice! The fiberglass or hard plastic would most likely crack after a while!
They actually look clean just as a looks mod lol.
Visually they look nice! And they are an added bonus for protection!
Missing your turbo corolla should do some mods on it still
Got more mods coming for the Turbo Corolla!
I do mods on mine too if you want some additional Corolla Turbo goodness! 🤣😍😉
Hey Brandon do you still got the old vland tailights from the old corolla u had?
I have already sold them!
@@BrandonStellmach ok np
Brandon can you explain better the part how you connect the Cables please 🙏🏼!
I plan to do an updated video of this in about a month, and I will try to go into more detail on the wiring.
@@BrandonStellmach perfect I already did it ! My Corolla 2010 Back up camera 👍🏼
Thank you brother 🙏
No problem!
lol a locking tailgate keeps them from stealing your tailgate
😂 I do hear that the tail gates are very easy to steal!
Got one for my RAV4. Hoping it goes as smooth
Its a great addition and a fairly easy install!
can you change automatic power window if you can🎉
I was thinking about doing that, but I don't have this car anymore! I ended up getting a newer one with automatic windows already.
What engine does it have?
It is the 1.8L 2ZR-FE.
where in lala land did you find $60-80 headlight housings?
I have put the link in the description. It looks like they are closer to $90 now.
ive got a spec stage 3 on my corolla hatch with the lightweight flywheel as well and man it feels great. sadly no turbo on mine lol. great vids man i stumbled across your channel today and its great to see another corolla channel.
That's awesome! Love seeing other corolla owners who have modified their cars. The Turbo is a great addition to the car, would recommend it if you have the extra money and want to double the power!
Hi, the camera I bought only has one black wire that connects to the screen, and one red wire which supplies power. Is it the red wire or the black and white that supplies power? In other words, which color is the ground and which color is the power supply?
Typically the Red is the power that you would connect to the positive and the black is the Ground wire.
Awesome learnt alot from your mods
Thank you! I am glad you liked the video!
