Use the mesh to fix the hole. Melt the mesh into the bottle on all sides and then used the plastic filler rod to cover the mesh. That way you'll get 95% fill

I had thoughts about doing that, but I know it wouldn’t come out the best. So I decided I will just try and buy a new one!

Good to see you are chipping away at the Matrix. If you have the time it may be beneficial to visit a pick and pull salvage yard so you can grab some used parts to take care of some of the issues. When I picked up my Matrix I had alot of little things that needed attention but nothing major.

I wish I could find some local to me. If I do find any matrix/corollas they have already been torn apart with most of the parts I need!

This has the exact same issues as my old Toyota Corolla Sportivo (Same engine/transmission) here in Aus, but I was no where near as mechanically minded or had the right tools to get everything sorted like you are. So it's nice to see you giving it a go. As far as I'm aware, the Rocket cover gasket is a common leak and so is the timing chain cover/timing chain tensioner (because mine had the same issues with 210,000kms [130,000Miles]) with these exact issues

Yeah I hope to get this things running good again! Just chipping away at it little by little! But I plan to try and do the rocker cover gasket soon and see if that fixes most the leaks. But I believe it’s most likely going to need the timing chain cover done do, but I know that’s a much bigger job!

Lookin good! Be some nice content to watch when ya get some more up with it :) I really wish I coulda found a matrix before getting my corolla, but I'm still happy with it.

@@l2eacly-4ur-mom Oh, I may have been unclear or something cuz I cant tell if this is a joke or not. I got an 04 corolla. I really really do like it alot, I just wish I had the more space of a hatch like the matrix cuz its hard to fit my elderly mothers wheeled walking/stroller aid in the trunk.

Thank you i appreciate it! Having the matrix, is a much more useable car, being able to fold down all the seats and have a lot of storage. But the corolla is just as nice!

Going to salvage yard for used reservoir would make for some interesting content 😉

Same thing happened to me on my corolla!! I reckon it was a rock that went thru the fender liner and then impacted the windshield wiper reservoir and i needed to go to toyota cause it was winter in canada and it was a pain to drive so i needed it fixed fast… costed over $800 so im happy you found an alternative method to mend it

Dang Toyota be charging a lot to replace that! But glad they were able to fix it! But the looks of mine I will need to search for a new one and replace it!
