Finally!!!! The difference is so insane. I have a 2010 corolla s with a manual transmission that I’d love to do this to. The problem is that it has 204k miles on it. And I’m afraid that at this point it’s too risky

Send it…. Buy a second one with a real bad interior (the badder the cheaper) and use it as the daily while you throw in the turbs and worst case scenario you got a 2nd engine ready to just swap in.

have a shop do a pressure check on your engine, if they say its all good your engine can handle boost, do a FULL tune up, I mean go overboard. and if its still getting 20-40 mpg, it can handle it.

Like everyone else is saying, check if the engine is healthy, if so you would be good to turbo the corolla! And if anything does go wrong, swap out the old engine with one with less miles on it!

Rebuild it before turbo. I just rebuilt mine. Brand new 2zr-fe ready for turbo fun

Florida resident and Corolla owner here. Enjoy the vids, not everyone post videos of them modifying their corollas. I bet my 2004 corolla le manual (1zzfe 122hp at crank 😂)would do good with a turbo at 4-5 lbs psi. Im pretty sure is not gonna light the world on fire but it'll sound cool 😂. Its got 188K miles so its just about ready for boost, rings worn enough. Anyway, i have a bunch of mods (2-3 lol) comming on in a couple of months since BC is taking their sweet time with my custom coilovers, but i have new control arms with polyurethane bushings, new (replacement) engine mounts with polyurethane inserts, lightweight motor and alternator pulleys, and Im hoping to be able to secure a good set of brake lines and Celica GTS rear disc brakes and related parts. Theres a couple more things i will do before turbo but like seeing you doing some of the things id like to do. I already have a throttle spacer with a "CAI" and the car is on 18x8.5 Sparco wheels and lowered on coilovers (Five8s industries coilovers), but apart from that i have been just fixing the broken axles caused by dropping the car 5"-6" and wheel bearings from the 2°+/- camber 😂, bad combo for this drivetrain. And i might need a clutch soon, so better add that to the list. Still less money in all that than a new car payment. Ive been kinda living vicariously through you. I hope you have a lot of success.

That’s awesome! Love seeing others modify their corollas! Being able to add a turbo and make 7 PSI of boost would about double the power for that car! Which would make it a crazy fun car! Even with my corolla at 7 PSI it is crazy fast compared to stock! And it’s really fun to drive! But sounds like you have a bunch of maintance/mods for your corolla! But definitely much cheaper than buying a new car!

I have done that in my past videos, if you look at some of my older videos I upgrade to the S steering wheels with the buttons.

depends on how much money you have to spend and how much you like the car, if you boost the automatic rolla you'll have to beef up the torque converter which is a tedious and expensive process

There was someone I was talking to they put a turbo on a 10th gen with an auto, and he says everything has been running good, put the transmission does slip under a lot of power.
