For being in NH in that time its a miracle its not a rust bucket lmao. My 2009 corolla has only been registered in NH and I am envious to ppl that can keep their cars for much longer because it doesn't rust away

When I changed my spark plugs I used part of a small hose that I got at home depot for 90 cents. Really came in clutch since I didn't have all the right tools.

If whatever you are using is close to the size you need then it will work perfectly! A few days after I did my spark plugs I finally found my spark plug gapping tool.

I used the old coils to pull it out and install the new ones aswell

The spare coolant reservoir is actually a Intake sound resonator. It helps reducing the air intake sound

That's not for coolant that's air pre air intake

The black intake box is to muffle the sound and hold any water that might get sucked into the system.

Nice! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me a view of your bumper brackets while you have the bumper off. I'm having trouble with those things! I've already ordered and installed a set, but the bumper keeps popping off!

The clips on the bumper could be not holding it in. Line it up where it’s flush and just put a zip tie where the bumper has a clip on the side. That’s what I did and it holds fine

Thanks, Great to see a DIY job from scratch. Just a check - did you check the compression to make sure that all the cylinders were producing even pressure?

Thank you! I appreciate it! As for compression, I never checked it as the engine has seemed to function good with no signs of issues. But I probably should have checked prior. But everything has been running good with no issues!

That’s very weird, maybe check battery and alternator are good. Seems to be some type of electrical issue.

This corolla already has the S steering wheel. Unless you are talking about the 10.5 gen S wheel, because that one has a flat bottom on it. Might do that!

Sup Brandon, I’m in the process of buying a black 2010 S model center console for my LE corolla. The seller told me it doesn’t fit for LE models, only S models. I know you bought one for your Corolla, but was it an S model or LE center console?

From what I have seen is the S model only came with a black interior. And all the parts for. The S interior will fit on all models of the corolla.

How fast did the old Corolla go on the dyno with the turbo in it?

I never got a chance to get it on the dyno, but with all the other people o talked to the base tune should have been around 225 hp to the wheels.

I am not aware of any dual exhaust setups for these cars. It would have to be custom, since the corolla only came with one exhaust port. The bumper would need to be modified as well for the second outlet!

@@BrandonStellmach ahhh ok, I also try to check out the borla exhaust kit you put on yours, but it says it’s only for the S/XRS model. Do you think it could fit my LE? Cause the S and Le do have the same engine 1.8L

@@prodbyKAHLEVit will fit on all corollas. The only reason it says S/XRS, is because they have the cutout for the exhaust. On all other corollas you will need to cut the bumper.

Unfortunately bro the cvts are glass...you can run upwards of like 185wheel maybe but idk I've heard nothing but horror stories....just do a swap junkyard has too many 5-6 spd manuals and they are hit or miss but more on the hit side from what I've gathered. Toyota has pretty good internals in their trannies just not the autos or cvts for power

As mentioned in the comment already, the CVTs won’t hold much power without starting to slip and cause some damages. Maybe 200whp would be pushing it!
