Devin I know you haven't reacted in awhile. But I thought you might like to watch this. It was just posted last week. It's the Righteous Brothers hosting the Midnight Special from 1974. Its fantastic. It's their first Special since they got back togeter. Bobby is shines, Bill was having voice issues and Bobby took up the slack. So enjoy. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y3qAsamHotyWY8Y.htmlsi=ghrAW4nkSn_zNPK2

There were lots of metaphors in this song, the blond is his guitar and the mistress is the stage that he performs on, hence the spotlight. When he is not alone he is at concert with fans,

Stopped at the top. Soon as I seen Carman Licciardello! A beloved and faithful man! All his videos; A Witches Invitation; Satan Bit the Dust; School House Rock; Who’s In The House… I cried over this man’s passing ^_^ my mom was a super fan and I had the opportunity to let him know before his passing. ^_^

Hey check out pastor Bob Joyce singing the American trilogy. He's the only one that I know of has the exact voice as Elvis . Trust me if you've never listened to Bob Joyce sing this song you've got too cause you can't tell the the difference at all between Elvis Presley and Joyce . Yes I'm 100% sure there isnt anyone that can sing that song like Elvis did except Bob Joyce so I think Bob is actually Elvis . Elvis has a distinct sound . Even an Elvis Impersonators can't sound exactly like Elvis . But Bob Joyce does .Also Elvis wanted to be a pastor . Bob is exactly the same age as Elvis would be now . Bob has the exact distinct places on his face as Elvis does . Just check him out . I love Bob Joyce sermons . Yes he moves and acts like Elvis did . Bob has the exact guitar as Elvis did . Bob's friend is the same friend that hung with Elvis .

Should I even comment? I enjoyed your reaction...until you mentioned Jesus Christ. I understand people believe in such things. But I find that I want to find the love of myself, not some 2000 year old deity who claimed they were coming back. I believe they already came back when they removed the stone from the burial chamber, and decided to go back to their farm...in the sky. Hmm. Maybe this song is about Jesus Christ getting away from those who put him on the cross. Getting away from Christians. You might not like it, but I feel that if Jesus did come back, you and your Christian friends and family would have him nailed right back up onto the cross. Perhaps he would rather be back on the farm and not in the penthouses, i.e., churches hanging from that cross you all put him on in the first place. I had no idea this thought was going to enter my mind until I realized that Christ did go back to where he supposedly came from, and that this song really does feel like his celebrity, his deified circumstance that humanity put him through. Christianity is a weight on people's lives. Has been ever since it began. The cult of Christ. I don't think the Jesus in your Bible would have any interest in you giving his name. I might just start thinking about this song as being for Christ trying to get away from the Christians and religious zealots which would be the dogs of society, namely those who won't leave the religion alone and try to convert everyone with his name. What a concept.

So you saying that the billions of people that are not of the Christian faith (Muslims, Buddhist, Hindu, etc.) are lost, will never be with God, and essentially hell awaits them for worshipping a false god. Is this the reason George Harrison sought a different path.

Dunno if it's about Syd Barrett. I thought it was about him, just like "Shine on you crazy diamond " . The biggest hint for me was when the vocals sang " And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes " Syd lost his mind due to consuming far too much LSD as far as I've read and couldn't coordinate musically with the band anymore. There are reports that he was completely mentally frazzled. Lost his mind completely. The band were all good mates ( more or less ) and they went through the process of watching their mate lose his mind piece by piece until he was on another world from them mentally. The experience hurt them all deeply

Patti (?) masterfully imitates the runs and even the wah-wah of a trumpet in her solo. A masterclass! My older uncles served in the Pacific in WW2, and my dad was stationed in Germany in the 1950's. My dad narrowly avoided deployment to Korea, for which I'll always thank the Lord, because otherwise I might never have been born. All his brothers also made it back alive. Now they've all passed on, but songs like this, that they also used to listen to, always make me think of them. Thanks so much for your heartfelt review! ❤

Love when Barry goes on the falsetto run but also enjoy his regular singing voice. They just had so many weapons to employ. All the brothers had their own unique talents and when they came together, it was such a beautiful package.

Doing a Bee Gee binge of your vids. Note the bridge in this song and all their vocals showcased. They really were great songwriters. Thank you for reviewing these songs. I really appreciate your personality. A couple of notes, no auto tune or ear pieces back in those days. That’s why Robin always did the ear thing. Maurice does have some songs where he does lead. My personal fave is Man in the Middle live version. Maurice did a lot of the instrumental stuff too. They’re all just so talented.

Bobby Hatfield had a rare voice for a man called a countertenor. He had a 4.5 to 5 octave range. He would probably still be alive if not for a cocaine induced heart attack in his sleep in 2003.

Woah bro 😎 what this song is about is religious inclusiveness, that no matter who you worship, we all seek the same love and wisdom 😎 I'm a freaking agnostic, and even i can understand that 😎 maybe you should realize that there's a whole world of 7 billion people, and that maybe you're quite a bit close minded 😎i was gonna give you a like, but i can't 😎 because my God isn't like yours, and maybe you should strive for more wisdom😎damn shame, cause we both agree it's a great song😎
