DIY Potentials: Projects & Ideas

DIY Potentials: Projects & Ideas

I am an electrical energy enthusiast. I am so fascinated by how we created electrical energy, the different ways we harness it, and how we build and develop technologies around it.

Over the years, I've tinkered with many types of electric motors. I would purchase them, tear them open, and examine how they were configured. In doing so, I’ve gained a sound understanding and respect for electrical energy and the different types of electric motors.

Since I am also a DIY person, I want to share my knowledge on DIY projects and ideas relating to electrical energy with others.

    We have the same issue except it is intermittent. Most of the time the oven works but sometimes it will only get up to 175 degrees and we can see the glow of a flame. Do you think the ignitor is the cause?

    Thanks for sharing. I'm planning to use just the batteries, a DC/AC inverter, the 24V DC motor and a permanent magnet generator (output of 220V). The motor will power, (rotate), the permanent magnet generator. I will get current from generator to feed my equipment and feed the inverter which will keep my batteries up to the task. I hope to reduce my energy costs and be ''off-grid'' at least 80% (eventually). Energy costs are sky-rocketing and will prevent any ''hit to my pocket'' down the road. Again, thanks for sharing.

    Not sure why you have to take all that out. Just put in a tray to hold charcoal, remove burners, gas hoses/tank and go. That way you can turn it back into gas.

    Just check the motor size and battery capacity. It's possible to build a faster bike, especially if local laws limit what people can sell locally.

    I have a 06 gto. I thought my starter went out so I swapped it out, but got the new part in and it didn’t work. I was able to get the starter to engage by touching a socket extension onto the two terminals onto the starter, with the key on the on position the car started. When I turn the key, the starter relay clicks. Does that mean from the relay to the starter something is wrong? I’m kinda broke so I’m not able to pay someone to figure it out for me 😭

    There's probably nothing actually wrong with your existing lamp socket ... LED bulbs that only feature an On/Off lighting option don't work with 3-way switches. You could have just purchased an LED light bulb with 3-way lighting options from your local Home Depot ... However, switching out the socket does accomplish the same thing!

    Is there anyway of increasing the power, using products from companies like Arduino

  • @mythical21
    @mythical217 күн бұрын

    You can't increase the power of an ebike with a computer chip. What determines the power of the bike is the motor's wattage, so you'd need to switch to a higher wattage motor and allow the battery to sustain for it.

    Sorry, man, but you made a LOT of mistakes! Those Wagner pads came with a small packet of grease, that is intended to be lightly smeared between the pad and the shim. Then, use brake grease on all the metal to metal contact points, especially on the fitment kit and the caliper ring and horns. Don't bleed the fluid out! Now that you have bled the fluid out, you have a low amount of brake fluid. Fluid is to be FULL when the brakes are new and will be near "Min" when the pads are worn. So you now have the fluid below Max with new pads, and will have a level below Min when the pads wear. Not at least checking the rotors for thickness and runout is "iffy". Def should re-surface or replace them or you are just shortening the life of the pads and will soon get some warping. AND: REMIND PEOPLE TO PUMP THE BRAKES UNTIL FIRM, or they WILL have no brakes when they start the car!

    My O2 sensor Bank 2 Sensor 2 was replaced on 3.5 liter V6 2008 Camry engine with 220,000 miles, but the old one came out stripped on top where it screws and fits tightly. So the mechanic could not get the new one to fit tightly because the pipe hole was larger because the old one was stripped and forced to install in place before I bought the car in 2019. So now I have this harsh coarse engine start up and acceleration sound (sounds like an old 5.0 liter V8 engine) with a check engine light. The pipe that is underneath the car where the 02 sensor is connected to is rusted. The mechanic told me that needs to be replaced. I don't know to what to do about getting it repaired since I need it to drive until I can purchase another car on June 22. I have put $1500 dollars in it with new ignition coil and battery in past 3 weeks. My gas mileage is still good with 20.8. I am not running the A/C because that is when the check engine came on. So, I burning up in this Texas heat.
