I definitely understand trying to protect the girlfriend from the ex. Sometimes an ex is waiting for an opportunity to manipulate the situation. However, I would also hope that the couple is discussing marriage and permanent commitment in their relationship. Hopefully the boyfriend is demonstrating that he is not just playing around with her. Maybe she is entertaining the thouhht because she doesn't feel secure in the relationship? 🤷🏾♀️
I’m not messing up my destiny. I’m not inviting potential chaos into my life. I’m telling you that I know I can’t handle it. With the understanding that his girlfriend has to do what she feels is best for her. The real question is how important and valuable is our relationship? Are we on the road to being united as one? For the record 30k ain’t no money when put up against the love of your life and future.
It was a great interview. My thoughts on the last question is this is a boyfriend. Unless he is prepared to secure her future with a marriage before the opportunity passes. She needs to take the opportunity.

Anthony, sit still and stop getting all this relationship advice. Singleness is your brand, LET IT GO. You speak that weekly. You have built an audience now it is time to be still, and you will get the wife you desire. Chill on the future family fund, sir. That fund is paid and full.
New boyfriend's counter offer should be marriage with the option to stay at home if she wishes. If he can't offer that he need to congratulate her on her promotion.
The background questions should be; How long have they been "dating"? Are they dating with a purpose, or have they just been dating? He can not start talking "our future" now if they have never had the discussion before.
The key word is BOYFRIEND! You are single until you're not. If he has not proposed to her to be his wife, then he can't expect that. If they are engaged, then a conversation can be had. This had nothing to do with whether she is a wife or just a woman. The analogy between pulling a ventilator plug and a 30k pay increase is a far reach. The 30k increase is for both of them in the mind of woman who has team/partner mindset not just looking out for herself. A man, who is not comfortable with himself, tends to expect a woman who is not his wife to "lay down her life" for him. The husband is supposed to lay down his life for his wife. Now, if she didn't tell him that's deceitful. However, if she is upfront about who was going to be her boss and having the conversation before accepting the job offer and ask for the both of you to pray about it, she screams wife because she has submitted to your opinion. This pastor is not giving good advice. This is not biblical nor practical. If a man can't handle you working in the same building as an ex, then he can't handle himself being around w his ex. This is sad. SMH. I hope those who watch this take it with a grain of salt. Every person who calls himself a Man of the Cloth is just that a Man. We all have to seek God first when making any decision and ask God to point us in the right direction for Godly and sound wisdom. Just because we like a person doesn't mean everything that they say is sound advice or coming from the right place.
I’m sorry but that man didn’t mention anything about marrying his girlfriend. They aren’t even engaged. I understand protecting destiny, but he didn’t even hint at marrying her. So why should she pull back on a promotion just because her boss would be her ex? That woman probably doesn’t have an ounce of a feeling for her ex from 5 years ago. She’s a single woman paying her own bills. Demanding that she pass it up isn’t fair.

If I were to ever get married, I would prefer my ring to be something inexpensive yet sentimental. There are beautiful rings out here that are under $1500. Courthouse wedding and a small dinner party.
