For me being an DIYer is not about building something new, but reusing something OLD.
This channel is a place to show off how you can reuse e-waste that is broken or damaged and make it better. This can also mean modifying it for other useful purposes.

Is It dual strusion??
nope. Single
Are you going to share us the config process guide ?
I haven't thought about it. For upcoming builds, I will try to share it.
This is such a nice, clean version. It appears that you’ve customized some of the parts adding the Rook logo and name. Are you planning on releasing the .STLs for those?
Thanks. I made one customised part i.e. bottom cover plate for covering the electronics and for mounting the z end stop. If you want I can share the file in the video description.
Can the lvds off a satellite receivers work?
Hey, LoopLinks, what are your thoughts on this printer vs like the Creality K1 or Bambu P1 series? Which in your opinion is the best value and best overall. Also, can this printer print pla with the door and lid closed? Like doesn’t it have some filters on the back? Thanks.
Hi, I can't say which one will be the best overall because I haven't used the other two printers. However, 5M Pro has been a consistent printer. I printed Rook MK1 parts in PLA and PETG, and they all came out perfectly. I have had no problems with it so far. Yes, it can print PLA with the door closed since it features a fan in the back for external circulation, which draws new air from outside the chamber and carries filtered internal air outside the printer. The only thing which I don't like is that it doesn't support live camera view in Orca when I last checked.
Rooks are good project printers for learning how a printer really works and getting hands on. This was an amazing build video, just my worry if I build one myself is that I’m just gonna say “okay that was fun,” print a few things on it then put it on a shelf and never use it again. It doesn’t really have that same performance or upgradeability of a V0.2 or something else that I could build for a bit more money and get as a kit if I don’t feel like self sourcing.
Thank you! I understand; however, in my case, I had most of the parts lying around. And I needed a small printer that could be built easily without breaking the bank.
Amazing video! Thank you for building a rook!
Thank you!
Great work, well done!
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing video 👏 I use this same hotend on my printers, it works well at high speeds for a good price. The only problem was a thermal error where the temperature reading varied greatly when the assembly moved very quickly. I solved this by removing the jst connector from the sensor and soldering it.
Thanks for the tip!
thats the most refined Rook I've seen yet
Thanks!
Very cool
Will there be more videos of the Rook MK1 showing you wiring it up and it printing?
um! Let's see
Love the Rook hope you enjoy it as much as I do. From the creator of the Rookery. Gul
I love it!
Amazing build. Good job bro. Love the colour combo
Glad you like it
I wonder what the total cost estimate comes to?
Probably not too much, a good chunk of components were cheap knock offs. The rails for example say HiWin on them but they definitely aren't genuine, they lack the laser etching on the rail
Cost was around 250$ excluding Motors, Extruder, Bed and Power supply. Motors, extruder and power supply were reused from one of the old 3d printer. Guide rails weren't genuine however sliding blocks used were original Hiwin.
What a dedicated work, I love it. Looks so clean, hope it prints as expexted. Congrats.
Thank you very much!
The prints are incredibly clean! what material was used?
Blue one is PLA and grey one is PETG
@@LoopLinks Great! PLA is stiffer than PETG and ABS, but I wonder how it will deal with the heat during printing?
Construction came out nice! Are you working in PLA?
Blue one is PLA and grey one is PETG
Классно получилось! Спасибо!
You should provide 3d files
They are already provided in video description.
Thanks for the teardown!
CAN YOU CLICK MOUSE BUTTONS WITH THIS
niCe. is there any suggestions for making wireless printer on an old printer without buying wireless printer servers?
Nice work but some info and instructions would be more helpful
Ok next time
@LoopLinks do i need to download any type of wofo driver for this?
👌
Is it possible with ds4 controller trackpad?
Amazing job !!!
Thank you!
FANTÁSTICO !!!
Te adoro, estaba buscando este video para un proyecto del liceo jajaja
Can this flashforge 5M Pro machine print Nylon filament?
AD5MP Pro does not support printing with Nylon Filament.
can you help me. I have bought a flashforge 5M Pro, but it can't print on Nylon filament material, the product always comes off the magnetic table.
its a software problem, because Flash Print is limited dont have control about your first layer. Install Orca Slicer for this machine to gain control about every detail.
Loved the idea of the lamp! Very creative!
Credit goes to @3DMakerNoob
Nice! You should program the light to "fill up" to follow the printing % progress. Start from no lights to full lights. You should also include where you got the parts like leds and controller board.
Amazing 🤩
Thanks 🤗
I originally bought an Altec baby boom. I.loved it. It finally died after Night after night I kept it hooked to the charger so I could watch movies. I killed the battery. Soooo I went and bought 2 more Altec speakers..the hydro link(?) With all the STUPID DISCO LIGHTS. I think they soldered in the lights back arse wards or something backwards because I have to click through every light setting to get to normal speaker mode. NORMAL SHOYLD BE THE 1ST SETTING. Thats why Im here..I want to know if I can open it up and snip the LED lights. I hate these things.
sorry I will not be able to help with your query
Still making❤ i will reply
question matte does it cut gold acrylic?
Nope.
do you have a write up or something that explains this in more detail?
Can we enlarge the work area?
Yeah but you need to add a support to the x-axis from the other side. As in the end I showed how much x-axis is tilting in the corner where there is no support and due to that there were some imperfection in the engraving.
Can i use it to cut phone skin
I haven't tried. Anyways this machine was just an experiment. It cannot be used as commercial ones as there are features like blade offset and many more which it doesn't have.
What was the cost
I paid $475 without raspberry pi and btt skr mini e3 v2.
Please could you provide me with the measurements of the profiles and the rail? thank you
Hello sir please can you tell how to genrate plotter codes to make pcb. Thanks
Is it possible to make pocket router with sim slot
Can you make a video with smart tv WiFi module?
Really awesome. Nice idea with mirror
Thank you so much 😊
Thank you! as informative as helpful. Great review
So is there already an Arduino sketch available to power these types of Homebrew plotters?
Great tutorial! ❤
Thank you! 😊
