To anyone reading this (including shannon) I just want to thank all of you (regardless of what team you cheer for) for being a great community of people who are passionate about a loved sport. I was buzzing when the oilers closed this game out and wanted to give a huge props to silovs. He was outstanding! Also, prayers to Brock on recovering well quickly. To all Dallas fans lets have a good series and may the best team win, you guys look good! I am saying this because I need to admit something. I stopped reading hockey comments and commenting myself a while back because of how disgusting people can be on the NHL and sportsnet highlight videos. I made a mistake reading the game 7 highlights for this game and was very dissapointed with the hockey community over there. People love to be sore losers and sore winners and I have ZERO RESPECT for either of those people. This was actually why I quit playing sports because of teamates doing this and other teams players thinking they are above others. Sport is supposed to be something that brings people together and respect each other. What heppens on the ice stays on the ice! There are dedicated "troll fan accounts" that will produce the most vile and disrespectful comments punching down. People like that have no place in our sporting society to tarnish our sport. Please do not do that. We are better than that. hve a good day to those reading this!

I have no dog in this fight but I wanted the Canucks to win for you Shannon. I really do hope they reach the promised land sometime in your lifetime and I'll be watching the videos when that happens! So glad that you felt proud of what they had achieved this year - bodes well for the future.

Great 7 game series; though Edmonton is the better overall team, Vancouver showed some real fight this year. Tocchet should be resigned ASAP. And as a Caps fan since day one in 1974, I also know what it's like to see your team get eliminated every year. I honestly didn't think I would live to see the Caps win the cup but in 2019 it did happen, and Vancouver's day will come.

Nothing is more depressing than reading what’s under the canucks magnet saying, “26th time I’ve seen them get eliminated in the playoffs.”

It took a slapshot blast top shelf, a deflection in front by Hyman on a Bouchard blast and a lucky bounce behind the net with a quick shot by RNH to beat Silovs. His performance alone had to be worth admission. So fun to watch.

Toronto will need to lose a trade or two in order to actually get the cap space they need to make the changes. Treliving can’t structure a trade to save his life so it’s gunna be a while until TO can be competitive again.

Two hard series left for a Canadian team to break the 3 decade long cup curse. The Oilers are good but so is Dallas and then probably the Rangers

Canucks are like my Latvian national team. Gets caught with their pants down in first two periods and then tries to save the game in the last period. So close yet so far... 😂

Canucks management need to be very careful this offseason. This season was a fluke and they have a LOT of work to do before they are a real contender.

Amazing hockey game! So relieved that Shilovs didn't steal the series. Van only outplayed Edmonton in game 5, EDM outplayed them in every other game and with what is on the line for Edmonton, this result is super relieving and deserving!

Well at least you have one team moving on and if your honest the most complete team and the best one is the one that is... Canucks had a great season as did Boston both probably got as far as they should have based on their talent level. At least you have some optimism for Vancouver going forward unlike the last few seasons. Canucks needed to win game six ...this is why you close it out when you have the opportunity you lose one of your best players on kind of a freaky situation and it makes things more difficult.

Been a great season. So sad to go out like we did in the last 2 games. So few shots on goal.Without JT, Garz and Brock would have been sooo much worse. Lots was made of our secondary scoring being better than Edmontons, too many players didn't live up to their best sadly. A few changes coming and plenty to look forward to. Silovs was great in goal.

2 Chances to put the series away and they failed to show up for either game. Oh well, this was house money anyways. Hopefully the guys pick up some killer instinct from this series and come back swinging next year.

A couple things I notice after the fact is that the Canucks only had 2-3 shot attempts after the 2nd goal to pull within 1, and 0 on net. It felt like they got close, but only a couple of shot attempts, and that’s including the centre ice slap shot with 3 seconds left. And also, there was no whistle for the last 3:30ish, so Vancouver was never able to use the time out and set up a play, or give the top guys a second to breath because they all played a ton today

Kudos to the Canucks team for making it as far as they did and for the season they had. In the end it just wasnt meant to be for them to see the WCF this year. The stars have aligned for the Oilers, and in a self proclaimed "cup or bust" season the pressure only continues to mount. They're a veteran team now, so we can expect level heads but its still one helluva climb ahead. But I know one thing. No team is looking forward to a series against the Oilers. LETS GO OILERS!
