FL picked up two time Rivalries in the last few years. Boston and Tampa. Tampa and FL was not that big of a deal 10 years ago. We already hate Carolina and the Islanders. Its a shame they lost their rivalry with Philly. So much fun to laugh at Philly. Also it seems you get Boston Toronto every year or at least every other year. It has helped the West as well big time. So many new teams that needed something and someone to hate.

That may have been the hardest ive seen a team play this year. The Bruins were Not going to lose because of lack of effort.

As a Bruins fan, I'm so glad they have won at least two. Good performance. Now, let's win a third.

No mention of that quick whistle when Bob took a shot off his shoulder when he exposed out of the crease. A Bruin in the area of the rebound when they blew it, went to commercials and didn't show the replay.

The bruins played just well enough to stay alive, and the panthers didn't play well enough to eleminate them 🤷‍♂

I thought the Panthers were looking tired. Boston is a big team that really makes you work and wears you down.

that early bonus point was pure class, if the nhl truly wants to expand to nontraditional markets they should take some lessons in southern hospitality like that

I give Boston a lot of credit at least this season getting this far into the playoffs. After losing key players after last season I honestly wasn't expecting much from them. But good job guys!

damn these teams and making series out of the series. Boston played well and Swayman is still playing great. Caught up to the Panthers tonight. They keep bending and not breaking. I am keeping my lucky charm for game 7. I have a routine that seems to be 100 percent for wins as long as I don't do it every game. Also won't use it during the Stanley Cup. No cheating.

Bruins played a near perfect game and the Panther’s didn’t hard enough / with enough urgency. That simple. Cats fans don’t need wild conspiracy theories to explain a loss.

I would love to see on the playoff boards the blocked shot totals as well as shot attempts. I think it could be really cool to see how many looks each teams gets

How many breakaways did Boston squandered tonight? 2-3 at least? Bobrosky really keeping Florida up in this series as much as Boston wasting it away

Honestly, as a Panthers fan, I do feel kinda scared. I really don't want this team to choke, I am literally praying as we speak that they don't. But tonight's effort was just sloppy. I am really hoping that the Panthers just clear their minds and come up big for Game 6. I just want to see them lift the cup once in my lifetime.

Wasn't as much about Swayman as it was that Reinhart was the only Panther trying to score. Idk why teams decide to give 0 effort some games, but it happens league wide.

Honestly most of the too many men have been on coaching but the one in this game was completely on Lindolm he jumped off the bench even though peake was clearly not able to get off

Peeke gave the change signal but Fredric turned the puck over at Florida's blue line and it started going the other way. By the time Lindholm jumped on the ice he was already in trouble.

It was a tall order asking the Panthers to beat the Bruins 4 straight. Momentum is real and it’s hard to keep it going. Panthers will probably bounce back and win in Boston.

Reinhart said it aptly. It’s a seven game series and you don’t always have it every game. What a grind postseason is! Not much time between games and travel. And we get to see more hockey! I do think NHL told these two teams to watch the scrums. This was a decidedly subdued game in contrast to previous..

Weird that the Panthers called a timeout when they FAILED THE GOALIE INTERFERENCE CHALLENGE. Honestly think (or genuinely hope) that the broadcast just called that one wrong. If not, it's yet ANOTHER knock against the refs.

Man, the Panthers put on such a shit effort tonight. They didn't dominate the ice, gave up some RIDICULOUS turnovers, and overall, pretty slow. Tkachuk didn't even show up tonight. And about the GI call, I honestly don't care if it was GI or not, I just wanted to see the Panthers come back up big. That didn't happen. Hopefully they can rest and vent out some frustration during this 2-day break, and come up big inside TD Garden, just how they did during Games 3 and 4. Let's Go, Cats!!!!

This is the game where you see again that winning four games in a row in a postseason series is pretty hard to accomplish. Bruins found their game and good on them. And maybe there was a message no more vicious scrums ..parked for this game anyway.

No, two wrongs don't make a right. The two (really three) wrongs were both in the last game the officials in the last game missed the cross-check on Coyle, and then booth the officials and Toronto missed the clear goalie interference. In this game there was no goalie interference the officials and Toronto got it right. There is still the matter of the punch that took out Marchand that hasn't been dealt with.

I’ve never see a ref stop play to check on a goalie after a stop where the puck hits his shoulder. So weird.

Pretty hockey is overrated, winning is not.

that whistle in the first period...bobrovsky comes far out to make a shoulder save, thinks he has the puck, but boston has the rebound at the faceoff dot and they blow the play dead. that was crazy to me. denying boston near guaranteed zone time, possibly a very good scoring chance...a team that gets 3 shots a period. just a frustrating moment as a Bruins fan after the last couple games.

My thoughts.... We didn’t deserve to win this game. We came out listless like it was a regular season game that didn't matter. We didn't play our style and thats frustrating. Shocker! I don't agree with the goalie interference call. It should've come off the board, but whatever. Make it 6 straight wins at Boston and get this damn series over with. #GOCATSGO

Gutsy win. Obviously Florida who's in their championship window is better but superior talent doesn't always win. I can't believe Boston is doing this in a bridge year.

Did you notice Boston did no holding around the necks in the goal crease at a stoppage of play from a shot on net? More disciplined play on Boston.

I like the Vegas Bruins jersey. Also series was 3-1... so hoping for a miracle revenge from last year and come back... although Monty seesm to be doing everything he can to blow it.

I'm a panther fan and got the same view except opposite I was hoping new York would polverize the hurricanes for a easy meal for the finals. Because Rangers are bruisers and Carolina injured would be easy for the panthers but Rangers vs panthers conference finals equals the west having an easier meal regardless who wins. So I understand why you feel that way.

I wouldve been fine with mcavoys goal being disallowed without the context of the bennett goal being allowed last game, that was a pure makeup call right there and I was ready to absolutely lose it if it was overturned. Really goes to show how atrocious the officiating has been. Still think the Bruins can bring this thing back, lets go

@@TheHockeyGuy If thats their plan they should make it so you can only review for offsides to overturn a goal if the goal is scored within 10 seconds of the offsides infraction. I hate it when a team plays in the zone for like 45 seconds and scores only for it to be overturned because a guy was offsides by an inch on a play that had no effect on the actual goal

Being able to review goals is a necessary evil, but giving a freebie challenge will just lead to more delays and, let's be real, more "what even is goaltender interference?" comments from fans. There is a reason those reviews ended up on the late great Steve's Dang-Its from time to time (I do miss hat picks and Dang-Its, but am otherwise happy for Steve being able to do his own thing).

At this point panthers could swing their sticks directly at Bruins' heads and get away with it

Is it an issue of teams closing out series, or are the teams this year all very evenly matched. Most series could have flipped scores. Boston could be leading the series 3-2. The Hurricanes have been in every game, they could easily be up 3-2.

Even though I think the Stars had a good chance at beating Colorado in 6 or 7, that series took a less intense turn. Colorado can still make it interesting but has an uphill battle now.

Bruins played hockey for 60 minutes and played there game like you said. They can win, they have a good team they know they can do and I will call it now if Carolina and Boston win there game 6s I think they will both rally and meet for the ecf. They needed scoring from the guys they got it from tonight people least expect in big moments. Proud of my boys 🙂

Speaking of chyrons and superstition!...Did anyone else notice at the end of the CAR-NYR Game 5 that little gaffe?... 😃...Apparently the punks at the Four Letter were SO SURE that the Rangers were surefire going to win the series, that they preloaded the chyron with "NYR WINS SERIES". However, as they were trying to fix it, it came out "CAR WINS SERIES"... 🤣...I tellya. ESPN is the accidental laugh factory that keeps on giving...As to this game. What I noticed was that Florida was taking shots, and nobody was in the neighborhood for rebounds or redirects. All kinds of loose pucks floating around out there waiting for Boston sticks. All the Swampcats seemed to be wandering around the perimeter, out in the parking lot somewhere. I don't think it was a lack of effort on the Panthers' part, but disorganization...What? No sucker punches in this game??... 😮...I want my money back!... 😏

I don’t want to hear anything about the call from Panthers fans. Great game, but it did feel nice getting some get back.

As a Bruins fan, this game gives them an opportunity to float a Marchand retirement rumor. They could use the cap space.

He squared to the shooter and reset his stance before the puck was shot. That's not interference. Why don't we talk about blowing the play dead while boston was in the attacking zone for no reason whatsoever. Should have been 3 - 1

Bruins fan - Panthers were very slow tonight. I wonder if the “every other day” schedule finally got to them for once. This two day break helps Boston. If they continue to minimize turnovers and play a clean game, they have a chance to pull it off. They have shown how to get it done in two games… we shall see. Boston is not great at home.
