The truth is simple Bible, and not convoluted with man's philosophy. In the beginning of God's creating, darkness covered the earth. God's first act, that He tells us, is forethought of Light as His Spirit brooded over the surface of the waters. And then, at His word, Light was. However, Light did not remove darkness, yet exposed it--- much like the 10 commandments did not cause sin, but exposed sin. The darkness that was in the beginning, that is the origin of evil, later called sin in sentient beings, and is the root of all that fall. God's foreknowledge is the provision of the way out of darkness and into His kingdom. He continued His creation by distinguishing between good and not good, which is Light and Dark. Included in this is His naming dry land "Earth", after gathering the waters into "Seas" on the third day. That earth is the one that God created life upon, where He exposed darkness, but did not annihilate it, just like when the Nation entered into the land (Israel), there remained a remnant of the fallen nations. All depends on individuals within the local congregation as well as the affialation with others. Including pastor / teachers. Some SDA pastors are very "legalistic" Whyte based top down aithoritorian. Others are more patient and undrrstanding. All depends. If its a cliche. If your not accepted. If u have $ or not. Some communties too. Might be ok if retirying with $ But if u need employment or some assistance good luck. LoL. Can vary from area or country. Urban or rural. If u bring $ into the communty great. Same with lots of congregations. SDA included. I was accepted by Jamician / Trindad SDA in Cdn. They were like grandparents to me. Had just gone through a devorce. Yeh learning about Sabbath etc. But even more fuel on the fire. But was very much an outsider. Still am to a large degree as learn about Passover vs easter. And Hanaaka vs xmas. Etc. But Messianic Hebrew group has now gone toward post- trib stay in ARK. ( more UCG ) rather than SDA. ( at least still mostly teach but NOT all. That there is a "catching up" rapture. I'm not making a comment to criticise any, but when we born again in trinity The 10 Commandments become like our Breath. Nobody has to remind us to Breath. That automatically happens. So about keeping Sabbath.. Actually God told us to "Remember to Keep the Sabbathday HOLY" it's all about keeping Ourselves Holy. Sabbath keepers know the rules for the day. If A Seventh-day Adventist pastor (who appears only on Saturday at Church) gets paid for his service is He keeping Sabbath? For me Sabbath is Mystery. God wants us to stay Holy to keep is away from Evil. You don't have to go to Church to keep Sabbath. But not with your own understanding.. We strongly need the Guidance of the HolySpirit.

There's your problem right there you admitted multiple times in this video that you wanted the church to be the vision of what you thought it should be nowhere in there did you mention Christ design for the church or how Jesus ordained it in the Bible it's all about you it was all about your vision and your fun and your ideas not about the creator of the universe and the supreme god of everything. Your ministry really touches my soul for I have been sick with problems they couldnt even diagnose in my stomach which then progressed to other auto-aumne problems in my legs, my feet, then my back, My whole body hurt. I had been very abused as a child and had lots of anxiety but didnt realize it was a sin but my life was filled with sin. When i got very sick i gave my heart to Jesus but my sickness only gets worse. I take pain medication and anxiety medicine which i truly dont take to feel high nor did i ever know it was a sin to take these medicines. I Want Jesus with as much strength as i have and my life has changed bt his grace and mercy. still i wonder will i be lost because i take these medicines? does it mean i have to littke faith? I'm om Hospice and my body is extremely weak from pain most of all. I know Jesus died for my sins, ONLY HIM, HIS BLOOD AND THE CROSS. I have nothing good in me, only Jesus but is this enough to understand since I'm on this medication and dont seem to have enough faith to do anything but Praise him and Pray. This video title is very deceptive. Melvin has not left the Adventist church he’s very much still apart of it. Additionally when he first left, he didn’t know the false doctrine of the church and he left for other work based churches (it seemed like it was Pentecostal in nature requiring speaking in tongues as the evidence of salvation), so he didn’t get to experience a Christ centered, biblically sound Christian church which led him back unfortunately to the SDA church. I pray that his eyes are open to the false teaching and understands the freedom we have in Christ due to his FINISHED work of atonement that happened on the cross he finally leaves for good!

If you really care about having good faith arguments you should understand the other side. At 3:50 you lost all credibility to me. The notion that life has no meaning unless you believe in a god is sad. I think life is beautiful because it is up to us to make our own meaning. While it’s incredibly liberating to be in charge of creating our own meaning it’s also scary, so I understand why we are skeptical to do so. I think making my life around someone else’s meaning or another being’s meaning is horrific. I’d rather be dead.

EVEN if they did and were good, I think the moment they act on it, they become capital E, Evil, beings. So essentially only beings that would never act on that authority could truly be good. So scripture by nature, in my word view, is either false or our god is Evil. There isn't any way to meet this half way. Power corrupts. Of course beings that cause suffering to one being to prevent more suffering on other beings would be okay. I just wanted to provide a shorthand. All creatures (humans included) should be Free. If there is a creator (and there is), who is the source of all life, and who created us in his image and likeness, it would be logical to find meaning in him who created us and knows us. To try to find any meaning outside of that source would be misrable and misguided no matter how happy that person pretends to be. If you'd rather die than to find meaning in the source of our existence (which would be the creator himself), then you do not understand the nature of his will. And if life was just an accident and we all came into existence from absolutely nothing, then trying to find meaning would be pointless. It's nonsensical, in my opinion, to make meaning in your if there is no original source behind the origin of life. Everything is just a big "oops"

You are really onto something. I want to believe that God exists because I feel love in my heart for Him. Because I have a very strong desire to be like Him. I see all of the evil that Satan exemplifies & I desire just the opposite. But it would be very hard to explain this to someone who doesn’t feel that strong desire in their heart to do that which is good & loving. My problem with adventist church is the fact that it is too influenced by the american evangelical subculture.I wish it would be more like the jewish tradition--a lifestyle rather than a religion.In other words , not separating life in religious and secular spheres of life and ,instead, having both secular and religious spheres as one.

Hello, Thank you for your study. A few years ago my husband was the one who told me about it and we decided to make the changes for our family. Seeking the truth on it, I waited for confirmation. Shortly after, one day on a sabbath, Jesus visited us in our home. Surprised, I told my family he was with us and I believe he was there because of the sabbath and commitment we made. And since then that visitation was my proof that we have decided right about the sabbath. Jesus has visited me a couple more times similiarly and on a sabbath. Keeping the sabbath is the truth and the way God wants us all to live. I am in amazement years later and filled with joy and gladness. There is so much to keep learning and remembering about God and his willing. And I hope others seek this truth and join the celebration. Take care.

You are really onto something. I want to believe that God exists because I feel love in my heart for Him. Because I have a very strong desire to be like Him. I see all of the evil that Satan exemplifies & I desire just the opposite. But it would be very hard to explain this to someone who doesn’t feel that strong desire in their heart to do that which is good & loving. I don’t know how you would approach that, you definitely have your work cut out for you🙏🏼

My problem with adventist church is the fact that it is too influenced by the american evangelical subculture.I wish it would be more like the jewish tradition--a lifestyle rather than a religion.In other words , not separating life in religious and secular spheres of life and ,instead, having both secular and religious spheres as one.
Raised evengelical even though i go to a Baptist church, only ever tried to stay within those two denominations.
Hello, Thank you for your study. A few years ago my husband was the one who told me about it and we decided to make the changes for our family. Seeking the truth on it, I waited for confirmation. Shortly after, one day on a sabbath, Jesus visited us in our home. Surprised, I told my family he was with us and I believe he was there because of the sabbath and commitment we made. And since then that visitation was my proof that we have decided right about the sabbath. Jesus has visited me a couple more times similiarly and on a sabbath. Keeping the sabbath is the truth and the way God wants us all to live. I am in amazement years later and filled with joy and gladness. There is so much to keep learning and remembering about God and his willing. And I hope others seek this truth and join the celebration. Take care.
