If by “freedom” you mean making people more malleable to exploitative capitalist systems than yeah, fundamentalist Christian zealotry can certainly give people the blissful illusion of “freedom”. You fundamentalist Christians spread the most insidious cookie cutter platitudes to make people more docile and complicit in broken systems that commit evils against people everyday. You fundamentalists promise “salvation” in the next life for those that never question or challenge anything in your belief system, yet you zealots also simultaneously state others who don’t buy into or even know about your human sacrifice Christ figure will be tortured for all eternity with no hope of salvation or mercy even if they lived good lives… How considerate of you fundamentalist zealots to give everyone you come into contact with an opportunity to worship your human sacrifice figure and his father that sacrificed him

That's true Ashley, thank you for pointing that out! Plus, we know that our faith isn't based on wishful thinking, but on the many divine evidence in Scripture and our lives. Praise God for giving us so much we can base our faith on, and be confident about it 🙌
