@DUZCO10 That's Acts 20:7. In this meeting, Paul was leaving the next day and worked a miracle in raising Eutychus from the dead. It is clear the meeting is a night meeting. It is the dark part of the first day of the week. The dark part of the day preceeds the light part, sunset to sunset. "From evening to evening" Lev 23:32, also see Mark 1:32. If this meeting took place on the dark part of the first day of the week, it was in fact a Saturday night meeting. Paul had met with the believers all day Sabbath. He was to depart the next day, Sunday, so the meeting continued late into the night. Also Paul traveled to Assos, then sailed to Mitylene on Sunday. If Paul considered Sunday sacred in honor of the resurrection, why would he spend the entire day traveling and not worshiping? Paul was a seventh-day Sabbath keeper (see acts13:42-44; 17:2; 16:12,13; and 18:4). My Bible is not broken. It is working very well!

@The Christian Life sure! Having a day I don't have to work allows me time to appreciate creation itself. That admiration is worship. It allows me more time to study God's word and reflect on His teachings, which is also worship. Everything I choose to do on this day of rest, I try to intentionally make sure it honors God in some way. That is worship. Worship is important because that is what the central theme of the Bible is. The Great Controversy between God and Satan is all about who deserves our worship. Obviously our Creator deserves our worship! Everything that I am, I am because He made it so. And he knows every hair on my head! He knew me before I was born, even before creation. The Bible gives me many reasons why it is important to worship the One True God, the Most High, the Alpha and Omega, the first and the Last. Jesus Christ lived and died without sinning, shedding His blood so that I wouldn't have to die for my sins. We are told to obey God's commandments, sin is lawlessness. And we are all sinners by inheritance from Adam the first man. Jesus was the second Adam. Except He obeyed God's commandments. He exemplified God's character, giving us a perfect example how we can also reflect God's character. Observing the seventh day Sabbath is the 4th commandment. I will obey. And I pray many other people will see this important Truth.

@@DUZCO10 This verse that you copied here from Acts 20:7 does not say anything about that the holiness of the seventh day Sabbath=Saturday would have been transferred to the first day=Sunday. Just because they break bread together and had teaching, does not mean anything in the context of which day is holy, as the disciples were breaking bread, praying, and studying actually EVERY DAY, you can read it in Acts chapter 2 verses 42-46. We should read our Bible, and pray we can have fellowship every day, but that does not make the other days holy. It has to be God who declares which day is holy. And here is the funny part, that many Christians miss: in the Bible and in the Biblical records the days start with evening, as we can read in the creation story in Genesis chapter 1. "And there was evening, and there was morning-the first day". The days started in the evening after sunset, not at midnight as we count today in the world. This means that the first day(=Sunday) starts Saturday evening, after sunset. So the first day´s midnight is actually Saturday night. This means that when Paul was extending his teaching until the first day´s midnight, it was actually what we would call today a Saturday night sermon. So actually they had a meeting on Saturday, and he was preaching long into the night, as the next day, Sunday he had to depart. Moreover, the main focus of this story is not which day they had the meeting but that Paul resurrected the poor boy who fall asleep during his sermon and fall out through the window. Also, if you read the context, we can see that this is Paul's last meeting with the church in Troas and this is his farewell speech, no wonder he is extending his speech until midnight, as he wants to tell everything that is on his heart, knowing that they never meet again.

Dear brother, I see that you copy pasted this comment on many of the other comments here, and I admire your passion to want to do what you think is right :) I expected this verse to be mentioned in the comment section, and I actually am already working on a script for a follow-up video, addressing this verse + 3 others. Until that video is done, I will paste an explanation of that verse here from a magazine-like I wrote discussing the Sunday issue. Blessings! "Paul is one of the early church pioneers. He traveled, preached, and even wrote about two thirds of the New Testament letters. There is a verse which is often quoted to suggest that he and the early church were having church on Sundays. “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ...” Acts 20:7. Pretty clear right? Paul preaches on the first day of the week, Sunday, just like many churches today are doing. Is it true that Paul and the early church were now regularly meeting for church on Sundays instead of on the Sabbath? Let's continue reading what it says behind the comma of that verse: “...ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. …. and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.” Acts 20:7, 11 This changes the way we read the first part of that verse drastically doesn't it? The text doesn't say that meeting on Sunday was their custom, but rather that this was a special occasion, as Paul would leave them the next day! When someone close to you is leaving and you don't know if you will still see each other person in the future, wouldn't you want to spend as much time with them as you can? Of course! So, say that you go to a goodbye party the day before one's departure. The only reason why that day would be significant, is not because of the day in itself, but because of what happens the day after. They were eager to hear and learn as much as possible from Paul before he would leave. They listened to him all night, 'till the break of day'! The fact that they are up all night emphasizes that this is a special occasion, not a weekly custom." @@thechristianlife aside from the book of Acts you also have 1 Corinthians 16:2 to deal with, "On the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made." That sounds like a consistent Sunday meeting. And if that was not enough you have to contend with the early Church Fathers, like Justin Martyr who in the 2nd century wrote in his first apology, "And on the day called SUNDAY, all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits; then, when the reader has ceased, the president verbally instructs, and exhorts to the imitation of these good things." Justin Martyr is talking about the early Christian practice of gathering on SUNDAY, known as the Lord's Day, for the reading of Scriptures and exhortation. Its evidence of the early Church's recognition of Sunday as a significant day of worship
