Hi everyone,
I am a cosplayer from the Netherlands.
I started in 2013 and learn so much from all the tutorials on youtube,
that I decided to try to help others in the same way.
I love to share my creativity when ever I can.
Enjoy!
And come take a look at my facebook and instagram if you want ;)

I like how u made the pattern from duct tape but not the finished product. That’s what I was looking for specifically and ur video and one other are the only ones to gv me that. The other one was using special space age material which uses heat to harden which is still not pinnable. Urs is completely pinnable and can be made from scrap material. I will be using some of ur technique and some of the other but I appreciate u keeping it to what I can afford because that’s why i would prefer to try the duct tape method. Naming ur video “pinnable dress form from duct tape pattern” might be helpful for others looking for this method.
Thanks for the comment and the tip. Goodluck with your dressform!
I appreciate your work, and also, that you don't spend 20 minutes just talking. You get right into it.
Thanks! I appreciate that
I would like to try this
Good luck!
The Halloween I'm going to be a Pocahontas😊😊😊
Have fun! 😄
Thank you! I really loved your tutorial! You did a fabulous job explaining and taping yourself! You are awesome✨✨✨❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for your kind comment! Happy to hear it was helpfull
As good as this looks, even in North America, nobody'd be stupid enough to attempt flight with the big wings (I hope!)
Haha, I never recommended flying with them. But this is the internet. You never know what people with do with the information provided... At least it looks good! 😜

I really like the simple light weight design of these I really got a lot of inspiration from your teaching, Thank you.
Thank you for your comment. Happy to hear!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I’m going to cosplay Pocahontas for comic con 2023. This was so helpful
You're welcome! Happy to hear it was helpfull
I dont know if you will reply, but how did you connect the wire exactly? I've watched multiple times and i cant figure it out 😖 Please explain?
Hi, not sure if I can explain it clearly but I will give it a try: I took the long/outside wing pvc pipe (the one that hangs down, not the one connect to my back) and in the top part I made a small hole. I put the fishing wire trough the hole and make a few knots. That it. That is how it is attached. When I just pulled it the wing wanted to go outward a bit. That is why I added the eye screw to the middle of my harness on my back. You need to be able to have the wire run from the point of the wing and stay in the middle of your back. Hope this helps
@@CreativeChaosCostumes thank you so much, that explains it a bit! I appreciate you still replying to comments, even 2 years later!!
No problem! Always happy to (try to) help. Good luck!
@@CreativeChaosCostumes Much appreciated!! Now i have something to work on for my next costume 😆
Thanks so much. I made this for my daughter’s costume, while she sewed the dress! She looked great!
Yeey! So happy to hear it was helpful!
Can I have it
If you can make it, you can have it 😉
I always wanted one of these
Badass and practical!
I like it
How does it work?
What do you mean?
@@CreativeChaosCostumes hello hair dryer as weapon I want to know everything
Haha, well for my friends it has worked amazingly! I have used it the wrong way round once or twice, so it blasted us instead of the bad guys. Making it look like a hair dryer does make it a bit confusing 😜
I like all three of them best
😁
Nicely done, you are very talented!
Thank you! 😁
Do you have a Etsy shop?
No, I do not have an Etsy shop unfortunately
What if the body is fat it can stand own.. What pipe did i use if body is big and superfat
The dressform it self probably won't be that much heavier. The stuffing doesn't weigh that much. If you glue the PVC pipes they will probably be strong enough. It won't nearly be as heave as a real person. If you are making a super big dress form and are worried, you could also use steel pipes. It does get more expensive and the frame will be heavy, but it will be very strong. Goodluck!
This is what I was looking for. Would you say this is somewhat beginner friendly?
I would say it's worth the try! I think you will be able to do it if you are patient and take your time. I had the most trouble with the crotch. So if you don't need the legs and are having doubts if you can do it, I would say maybe skip those and just make the torso. Good luck!
@@CreativeChaosCostumes i wanna make pants so i think i need the legs lol but i am pretty ambitious so i will definitely give it a try!
Go for it! Worst case scenario you had a good practice and learned a bunch. Best case scenario you have the perfect dress form. Either way is a win in my book 😉
@@CreativeChaosCostumes i will! I have two more questions if you don't mind. One: does it matter how thick the fabric is as long as it is not stretchy? I have a canvas material and i have a standard cotton print from joann's. I'd like to use pattern print so it will look prettier but would it be too thin? Idk if i should just use the canvas. Two: most of the patterns I've seen cut much smaller pieces i.e. around the breast or curves. You've gone in just long strips. So, does it make a difference to the form if you make less pieces? Yours seemed to come out fine though.
I can't tell you if your material will be too thin without feeling it. You will be pulling on it a lot and it needs to keep your stuffing smooth. I think the best course of action would be the canvas first en than the pretty layer on top. Than the canvas can do the hard work and the pretty cotton will be what you see. I feel it worked just fine with the long strips. I do think if you need your breasts to be very exact that more pattern pieces help with that. So if you want to drape bra cups on it etc. My dress form doesn't have the dip between my breasts, but I personally don't wear clothes (except bra's, and I don't drape those) that need to be form fitting between them. So I have not have issues yet.
Where did you get the wig from?
I get most my wigs from AliExpress, but if you live in a country where they celebrate Halloween you can probably find them is stores for sale now
Could I do this with my real hair that is attached to my head?
Caulking is glue, so wouldn't recommend using it on your own hair unless you are planning to keep this look permanently 😅 I have seen others braid wire into their hair and then form the loops. Maybe you can try that? Good luck!
@@CreativeChaosCostumes I did not see the whole thing, so I was thinking of hair spray or mousse or some other kind of hair product?
You can always try it, but I doubt it will have enough hold if I am honest. I have only tried it this way, so I wouldn't know what else could work
@@CreativeChaosCostumes Ok well thank you I got to save up for the wig I have been cosplaying without it, I put my hair in pigtails with pinks scrunchies but that is it no loops and I have been looking up how to do it with my hair but it just shows how to do it with wigs not real hair, so I was wondering if it was possible?
I don't think it's possible to get these loops with real hair. You can get close by braiding in some wire and than looping the braids. But I think otherwise you can only get the shape with glue. My wig was a cheap one from AliExpress. I think a payed about 12 euros back in the day. Maybe there will be discounted wigs around Halloween. Either way good luck! Having fun is the most important thing 😁
That's AWESOME 👌
Thank you!! 😁
me gusta , por casualidad puedes compartir el plano
Thank you for commenting. Happy to help!
@@CreativeChaosCostumes I ask for help, I would appreciate it very much if you could share the plans that you used in the construction of the sword, and I tried to get them but I have not been successful
I am afraid I can't help you with that... I free-handed the pattern en just tried some stuff out. It was a really long time ago and I moved houses about 3 times. So I don't have the patterns or plans any more. And I gave the sword away as a gift so I can't measure or trace it for you either.
@@CreativeChaosCostumes ouch right in the heart
Sorry, good luck!
Did u tape your back as well. This is exactly what I was looking for
I did! But I am very flexible/hyper mobile. It is best to have someone to help you with the back. Goodluck!

Hi! Thank you for commenting, but I don't know what that means
You are extremely talented to do all this period but especially by yourself. Thanks for this. I was looking for a video that showed how to make a full dress form. Great video. Much appreciated!
Thank you! And you are welcome 😁 happy to hear it was helpful!!
Hey I’m loving your stuff do you make custom costumes? I would live to talk to you . Thank You Rae
Hi, thank you! I don't do customs yet. I am moving to a bigger space this year and hoping that I can start doing them there. If you keep an eye on my Instagram or Facebook page you will be notified if I do end up offering costum costumes 😄
That looks incredible!!!!
Thank you!!
Pipe size
I think it was 3/4, but I am not sure. I used that I had laying around. It is worth just feeling around different size pvc pipes and seeing which bend nicely but are not too flexible
Thank you so much!
You're welcome! Thank you for commenting!!
Wow u made amazing cosplay wings and a beauty dress too u have xD keep up the creativity :D
Thank you so much! That is very sweet of you to say! I will keep it up!
Thank you soooo much! I’m here in 2021 ans making good use of your video! Thumbs up!! 💕 also, where would you suggest hiding the battery pack?
You are welcome! Happy to hear it is still being used! 😃 I just shoved mine in the collar of my dress... You can also put it in the back of a choker/ big necklace or hide it in a pouch that you tie with a band under your wig
Would it be ok to use cardboard tubes instead of pvc pipes
I personally don't think those will be strong enough... But it is worth the try! Good luck
Just what I was looking for! Thanks
You're welcome! Happy to help ☺️
i was looking for this couldent find the right one
I love how making it yourself gives you the freedom to do it however works for you. You can choose the size, hight etc. And it was fun to do 😁
Where did you get the bed slats?
These where cut to size for my old bed, so I could just screw them back. But originally they where scrap wood my mom had laying around. You could use something like 2x4 lumber. As long as all the slats are the same thickness and thick enough to carry your weight
Thanks for good idea
I need I make it’s same
It's a great bed! So useful! I really love it 😁
What did you use to heat up the pvc?
It's called a heat gun 😁
If you still have it is it still good?
I have moved again and needed a loft bed, so unfortunately I don't have it anymore. But it has served me well for years! It is very sturdy.
It looks like an enderdragon, and ive been looking for something to make an enderdragon costume for a bit, this looks great :D
Sounds awesome! Happy to be of inspiration ☺️
Very helpful, thank you :)! 💕
You are welcome, happy to help! Thank you for commenting 😁
This was really helpful!!! Thank you :) I've been trying to find something a little easier to work with and less expensive to make articulated wings for a cosplay of one of my dnd characters. Never thought about using pvc pipe, I didn't even know you could bend it with heat!!!
You're welcome! Happy to hear is was helpful. Good luck on your wings! 😁
Wow! I’m gonna make this for a drag outfit 💗💗💗
Oeh that would be awesome!
Thank you so much for this, I'm going to try and take this in a few days, ill definitely tag you when I do, if you have an IG
You're welcome! Happy to help 😁 I would love to see how it turns out, and I do have Insta. Good luck!
Great tutorial 👌🏼🎊
Thanks!
Is goed! Ik post niet vaak, maar zal ze in de groep delen
@@CreativeChaosCostumes deal en vaker een filmpje maken😜
Hahaha, daar maak ik geen beloftes over 😂
Ohhh I might have to try this to adjust my hard dress form so it's closer to my measurements! <3
Great idea! It makes sewing so much easier to have a dress form in your size!
Nice tutorial. It's sure gonna be pop-ulair :)
Hahahaha, thank you!
Sexy legs!! I love the result <3
Haha, thanks you. Very happy with it! 😁
