Here is how I made my dragon lady dress. It is a mermaid style dress with a train. Ended up sewing elastic strips in the side because I only had non stretch fabric. This was a curtain! Worked out great. Also added a quick tip to protect your dress from dirt and damage when it is hanging on the floor.
This tutorial is meant for people who have a basic knowledge/ experience with sewing. I am in no way a professional. I can only try to explain how I personally make my costumes.
