Thank you ..had just about given up until I found your video 4 years down the line :-) What a complicated handle .When I dissembled it the first time I couldn't figure out what those 4 wires were going into .A strange rubbery thing with wires :-) After stripped back the rubber and found all those SMD components in good shape I'm hopeful when I get it under the microscope and solder in new wires we'll be back in action .It's funny because I very rarely lock the car but it's one of those things that once broken has to be fixed no matter what .The best part of owning an old BMW is that you never know what the next repaire adventure will be .Thanks again for a great vid . What about 4A07 alternator communication error ? This is showing me after alternator repair, before the communication was ok but sometimes the alternator didn't charge the battery so the car was stopping,now the car doesn't stop but the communication between alternator and computer is lost

If you have some communication errors then I believe you need to replace complete BSD module. Carbon brushes replacement only helps to restore electrical contact to the rotor. Or just make sure you put all the screws and connectors correctly.

@ The module was replaced but it think is not the right one , i found on the forum that if the alternator doesn't have the same Ampere output will cause this error , so probably my regulator is for 163hp an not for 177hp e60 that i have , this the only solution to replace it again,someone at the service miss replaced the right part ....

I have to remove my seat bottom because it has 1 crack in the leather and want to replace that part (stitch a good part from a donor seat). Do I have to cut those metal rings which hold the seat bottom leather?

Thanks for identifying the weak points of this module! This fix works 100%, when the shields lose ground sound disappears from the car. The soldering technique might need some work though.

@@JovanKorica1 nop it get worse after polishing and shows like ghosts in screen :D sold the car already. Maybe it was broken itself. If its in bad condition i should try to polish anyway maybe it works for you. Who knows..

Hi, I don’t remember having any error codes just low battery warning very often. Thing is that charging voltage was not stable, when I rev car voltage suddenly drops to nearly 12V. It should be stable all the time ~14V (for diesel engines).

If you have problem with crackling noise, whining or etc. check the power cable (+12V) connection points - it should be soldered after inductor (Red dots on right side)! If you will solder them on left and red side (before and after inductor) you will have this weird sounds. Sound will also change with engine RPM, so this is the solution. Hope this helps! Jei garsas iš kolonėlių traška, švilpia, o gal išvis kosminis garsas, tuomet greičiausiai pajungėte blogai +12V linija. Būtinai perlituokite +12V kontaktus į dešinę pusę po ritės (induktoriaus), foto raudoni burbuliukai dešinėje: vienas viršuje, kitas apačioje. Jei sulituosite laidus: vienas prieš induktorių, kitas po - turėsite keistų garsų problemą! Sėkmės!

Labas, blokelis apie kurį kalbi yra Arduino kontroleris. Jis čia mažiausiai ir kainuoja: ~10 Eur. Daugiausiai kainuoja signalizacija, jei planuoji dėt ją tik dėl tokios funkcijos: ~200 Eur aš mokėjau, GSW-CAN arba GN-8 iš Kodinis raktas. Tada reikia webasto valdymo pultelio, jis turi būti su auto, arba nusiperki iš FB grupių: ~20-30 Eur turbūt. Pas mane viskas jau buvo, tai aš tik Arduino valdymą padariau, kad viską apjungti.

Ar čia standartinis webasto pultelis? Ar pirkai specialių webasto retrofit pultelį-converterį? (konverteris skirtas montuoti ir palikti mašinoj, atrodo kaip pultelis, tik priedo turi laiduką su fiške) Įdomu ar jie skiriasi kuo nors ar ne. Noriu taip pat susimontuoti webasto valdymą į e70. Dėkui už video!

Čia standartinis pultelis be jokių papildomų laidukų ar fyškių. Pats išsivedžiau laidukus nuo atskirų mygtukų kontaktų.

Great video! I successfully done everything that you instructed in the video. Installed the BM54 in the car and the radio sounded better than before. Unfortunately, the next day no sound is coming out of the speakers anymore. It seems like the amp is muted. How do I unmute the TDA7492? I already uninstalled the BM54 again and let it seat overnight. Installed it again the next day. Still no sound. Please help.

Never change voltage regulator! Only original Valeo if new or change the brushess like in a video. This type of alternator is controlled by main computer (ECU) via COM signal (BSS), oil sensor also communicate via BSS. So in this case, if any off those two parts aren't original it can interrupt signal and make others system work improperly

I saw in your video at 10:08 that you put 2 more connecters into the seat module, so my question is, are the connecters in the cars wiring or do i need to make them?

Those are heating mat connectors, they come attached to the mats.

You need new seat modules which came from heated seats. If you take a look on a module from non-heated seats you will see that no pins are coming out from the module for heating mats. These modules have some extra functionalities inside which controls heating. If your seats were not heated earlier then your modules will not have these functions. Take a look part of video at 09:50.
