Most common cause of faulty Comfort Access
handle is cracked/broken wires and corrosion
getting inside the wire itself.
Sometimes it is possible to fix handle by only
soldering broken wire. But if corrosion got
inside the wires, then usually issue comes
back again after few months.
In this case, corrosion needs to be cleaned
and new wires soldered inside the handle -
directly yo flex PCB.

Thank you ..had just about given up until I found your video 4 years down the line :-) What a complicated handle .When I dissembled it the first time I couldn't figure out what those 4 wires were going into .A strange rubbery thing with wires :-) After stripped back the rubber and found all those SMD components in good shape I'm hopeful when I get it under the microscope and solder in new wires we'll be back in action .It's funny because I very rarely lock the car but it's one of those things that once broken has to be fixed no matter what .The best part of owning an old BMW is that you never know what the next repaire adventure will be .Thanks again for a great vid .
