Do NOT remove the door panel. There is an access hole in the side of the door. Remove the cover and with a hook tool push the locking mechanism away from you to release the door handle. To replace, insert the door handle flush with the door and pull the slider toward you with the hook tool to lock the door handle in place.

Thanks for reply do you know what are the fuse number I do not have the manual why don't have the diagram or the specs or schematics of the few numbers do not want to remove the wrong one

Great video. Also situation on mine 750Li 2005 restyling. Only drivers handle dont work. Did u just soldered broken wires? Do u know if the wires seems ok, someone says it is then antenna? How can we tell we have bad door handle(unrepairable)?

Can you tell me where all antennas are located , we found one in rear bumper , one in trunk but there are now antennas in doors

Excellent! One of my rear doors is unresponsive, so I'm assuming this is the issue. I'll try to record that repair as an addendum to this.

Hi, i've had a continuous fault with my E65 for the last 3 years, where by the car constantly says "remote key battery run down", even when there is a fresh battery installed in the key. I got a brand new CA key, made no difference. Any thoughts?

Does the comfort access still work though? I had a similar problem and it was a fuse, but the symptom was also that the comfort access didnt work.

Thanks for the reply. Comfort access works most of the time, but sometimes (maybe 25% of the time) I pull on the driver door handle or push it in and nothing happens. It''s a new handle too. 19 times out of 20 the keyless ignition works no problem, but very occasionally the car doesn't see the key. I have no fault codes stores (I have Rheingold). Seems to be a low signal strength, antenna or similar problem. Do you know what antenna detects a low remote battery?

i noticed that if there is a cellphone near the key, it doesn't get picked up by the car. I know there are several ring antennas scattered around the car. Intermittent problems are hard to resolve.

there are 2 five amp fuses. One in the glove compartment and one in the trunk. You need to look at the fuse numbers

All 4 of my door handles do not work and I have comfort access...Could all 4 be bad? or Fuse?

hi I have problem with comfort access I saw all your videos on this topic how to know if the problem is mechanical fault or coding my trace file shows not active I changed it to active but unable to code it didn't write it. how can I be certain that the car has comfort access in the first place I bought it recently. the boot opens with keys in my pocket the fob has battery opening all hint it has comfort access e65.

take your VIN number and paste it in a site that (cant recall right now) and it has a register of all the features the car was manufactured with. you could also just call BMW and give the VIN number and ask them to check the features list for you.
