Excellent video, I've performed this on my car, and it was a success. I've had 3 out of 4 wires dangling, repaired it and now all the functions work again. Thanks a lot for this one.

Thank you so much for making this video! It's detail gave me the confidence to fix that on my own and saved me 385€ for a non painted spare handle. In my case 3/4 cables were broken. Thanks to your very well and detailed manual I was able to do the same (with standart tools) and guess what - it works again!!! Only negativ point: since I've dismounted, cleaned and oiled the one handle I fixed (driver side front) it feels so new and well that I want to maintaine others also ;) Big shout out to ecologicaltime!

Thanks for the video! I had a battery discharge error happening frequently. Used a heat gun to test the handle that wasn’t working and it was 10 degrees C - others were 2 degrees in winter. I took the handle out and disconnected the comfort access clip and the battery drain is gone.

How do you know which door has the fault? My scanner doesn’t seem to pick this up

Hello again. Can I please ask that if you do not (or cannot because you do not have the right scanner) clear the error codes, will the system clear itself if you simply fix the problem? In other words if I fix mine without clearing the codes (assuming they are there) will it start working? Thanks - Mark

Could not wait so I attacked the handle yesterday. Wires were broken as yours and when repaired and reinstalled you were correct the codes must have cleared because it works fine - thanks. I had a big issue reinstalling because the small tab that holds the inner plastic and locking slide mechanism in place at the end opposite to the key hole was broken off and so the whole assembly pushed inwards when installing making it impossible to lock in place. Solved this by drilling a small hole in the door bodywork under where the handle sits next to a small slot that there is in the plastic assembly and cable tied it! Cable tie was small enough not to interfere with the handle surround. I then found that the locking mechanism worked loose after about a dozen pulls though (Because the cable tie has a small amount of play meaning the door handle actuator thingy pops out out of place and the handle just makes the clicking noise) and so went in back by removing door cards, secured it in place with the slide and then locked it in place by drilling and inserting a small self tapping screw through the metal slide into the plastic part. Cannot remove the handle using the little slot any more of course and will need to remove door cards to allow me to remove the screw when I want to remove again in the future. The handle (LH drivers) does the one pull to unlock and another pull to open routine. Others all unlock and release at same time. Will try to get Carly and see if I can recode. One small question if you don't mind and that is the whole CA system goes to sleep after about 15 minutes after I lock the car and I then have to use the key fob to unlock - any idea if this is normal? I went through 4 ~ 5 inspection wire tests, and finally I replaced a used one door handel . one door work now. so i think handel inside Chip damage. I plan to buy 2 more to replace the damaged other handle . Thanks so much for help.
