Great video. This shows me how to check my door. I changed the window regular and when i put everything back together, my door would't close as you've shown. It wouldn't engage. I slammed it a little harder and it did close. However, not the door won't open from the outside or the inside. Any suggestions ???

When you start chiselling with that green handled screwdriver and hammer, you do realise that the metal slider has a locking prong you need to remove the door card to see and access easily. If you strip M16s blindfold under fire every evening and do an e65 door every morning you might be able to do it blind. Me, I'm removing the door card first. Five screws to do that T30 under airbad T25 behind door pull two T30 deep in arm rest and one PH2 near hinges. I used a big thick plastic trim tool, starting near that PH2 and that was easier than starting near the lock. (Found first two trim clips were broken - best to have a bag of white BMW trim studs in reserve. Put the window back up to get the glass out of the way to access locks etc down to replace I suppose. Then thought best to disconnect the battery before unclipping the dozen or so cable connectors 11mm socket to remove the inner liner and then the problem show themselves

My f10 is showing some of the same issues even draining my battery when parked for a while heading out to test the fuses thnks

I had the exact same problems. It cost me $1500 to get the doors closed. I was quoted another $1600 to get comfort access to work. I declined it. After being without comfort access for 5 months, it started back working tonight. Hopefully, it will last.

If your door won't grab to close and just bounces open it means a mechanical issue with the door latch closing mechanism. More than likely it needs some lube sprayed into up and around the opening. Spray good into and between latch and door. After that take a screw driver to the door latch and move it in and out a few times. Then the door should close correctly. If not repeat procedure. Worked for me.

Took car into BMW for soft door recall. The scan failed half way through and they re did it, also some brake reprogramming. Got car back and radio wasn't working. Figured the radio had something to do with visit. Now the car doesnt start when button is pushed?

I do not have comfort access on my 07 750li. And after i removed the lock and fixed the soft close (from your other video) i noticed my door wont lock now. It closes and locks but you can just open the handle from the outside. Any ideas ?

My driver side front door intermittently won't close like u stated in your video. How can I determine weather or not its my soft close handle or the door actuator?

could be both. Swap the actuator/handle with another door and see to eliminate which one.

Hi, my car does not have comfort option , do you think if it would work if I buy soft close door computers and door handles to fit them in my car and it would work without coding ? Like it's plug and play ?

I had the same problem, un the right side of the glove box you have the Comfort access module, mine had a blown fuse, i changed it and clear the code. And it works. In order to clear the code you need to know someone who has the OBD program from BMW to clear that. And you don’t need to program nothing. I hope this works.

check the fuse in the trunk. 5A, then there is about two other fuses, one in the front in the glove compartment. Then unfortunately if there is a short on any of the door handles, it also interferes with the CL. Also check that both you keys dont work with CL.

My driver door won't lock or unlock with a control and it won't show on my dash when door is open . I have to manually lock and unlock the door with the key .

I have an f34 with comfort access. Today it just stopped working. Cant lock/unlock via the door handels, both right and left, and the side mirror wont go down when in reverse. Camera works, locking/unlocking via the key works and keyless start works. What could it be? I will check the fuses but...

use your key (actual key) to open the boot then charge your battery.

Yeah my battery was changed and the next day this happens & door won't open even with key and now car was making a clicking noise but not anymore. I think it's dead. Grrrrr
