where in your video will I find how the purchase the trolley and carriage for a Liftmaster garage door? I'm a subscriber.
It should be in the descriptions in each video, is this exact one the one you need ?
I watched soooo many videos on how to do this repair. None of them worked. I followed your video step by step and now my garage door is repaired! So thankful!
Thank you..
Wonderful! I tried replacing my remote battery, unplugging my liftmaster, readjusting the sensors...THIS (what you said) is what I needed to know! Thank you. ⭐
Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video! Just followed your video and fixed it in a cost effective manner.
I'm trying to take off those bolts bit but they keep spinning. Any way to keep them from spinning?
Pain in the butt to get them off from that point. I’ve cut them off with a grinder and replaced with new. You can try clamping with vice grips one side as well
You should paint one of these cartoon tunnels on the wall behind the door to nowhere
That would be pretty cool 😅
I real appreciate you made this video. I have an issue where my garage door wouldn’t fully close. But after watching your video, I was able to correct the issue and now the door is fully functional.
My garage door stays at the mid point, but when i turn on the switch, the door opens or closes too fast. how do i control the speed of the door?
Do you have a Genie accelerator ? Or what type of motor if not ?
Thank you so much for the video. Tensioned it with an allen key and a friend holding it which worked.
Wow! I think you skipped the sprocket removal and install, which I thought was the whole purpose of this video 👎🏽
👍🏼
Thank you for the code list on the type of garage opener you use. No one else I watched had this. Thank you thank you thank you
very well explained 👍
Thank you very much for this video, It really help me.
Perfect guide! I watched video this before replacing the trolley on my garage door opener. It took all of 15 min. thanks to this walkthrough.

?
To remove that part away from the header do you need to do something special like secure the bar or something cause I need to remove the header because is sagging. Please let me know thanks
The springs are very dangerous I’d be extremely careful IF you try to get them off yourself. Call around someone should be able to come out and take it off for like $100
@@GarageDoorGuidance thanks for the advice I appreciate it..
The tension on the spring is hundreds, if not thousands of lbs. Better to pay a pro vs the hospital.
Thanks for pointers. I used a pipe wrench on long rod with one hand while setting cable end into pulley groove with pliars with other hand.
😅
You should NOT do this! I've been an Overhead Door Tech for over 20 years and this is stupid. Take the tension off the cables by putting the bars in the spring and loosening the set screws. That way if your bar gets knocked out you don't lose your goddamn fingers. Better yet, do the REALLY smart thing, don't mess with them at all, call someone
Genuine question, what’re you doing when the spring won’t spin because the last guy over tightened ? ( hammer won’t budge it )
Thank you
i ended up having to do this with a screw driver! it was kinda scary
This is how people get hurt, you really should not be doing it without the proper equipment ..
Nice work, very good guidance. Thanks
Yes..great video if you needed to know how a nut and bolt work...otherwise not a helpful video.
Wasted your time a little bit
A two minute job.
Yes?
@GarageDoorGuidance Thanks, I'm an electrician, so maybe it doesn't count.
@@broederbond60 I was unsure on how you meant it haha but yeah it’s an easy thing to do, no doubt the elderly will get taken advantage of on it but the resources are there to fix it
@@GarageDoorGuidance The electronic deadbolt is just as easy.
Yep!
Thanks,
Worked for me! I didnt need to use vise grips though with the door down, there was no reason to hold it up. Other videos show the fix with the door in the up position but it seems way easier with it down because its like one wrap around the wheel instead of several were you have to keep tension on it. Anyway, glad I didnt have to call a repair service so thank you sir, I salute you.
With it down you have the tension to deal with usually, which is my guess why the other guys do it with it open. ( plus a lot of the time the cable comes off when it’s opened vs closed )
Someone backed into my garage door and now is bowing; MY plan in to remove it and try to straighten the panels. Already have a T-strut and not helping
Is the strut bent?
@GarageDoorGuidance replaced the t-trust, but still bowed
@@cafemolido5459 the braces are usually placed more for function, depending on the door and the damaged sustained it will only do so much
Can't even recall where / how I got this one little garage door remote opener... But it's got the 'coin-battery' on the inside, & it contains 2 main activator buttons at the top portion of the device, & then the bottom section contains just 1 single button as well as this panel of 12 itty bitty little switches with the very 1st switch (1) labeled with 'on' above the number 1... & then numbers 2 -11 are just labeled numerically with the 12th switch containing, just like number 1's 'on', shows the letters: "KE" above the 12... I wonder how exactly I'm supposed to go about syncing it up to use with my older craftsman opener..I'm pretty sure I USED to have it programmed at one point just fiine but I can NOT recall how I actually did it ...
On the opposite side of the switches is there a little black circular button? ( it would be under the cover if you have the cover on
Is that a door to nowhere?
Exactly
Why does bro have a carpeted garage
Plenty of reasons lol it’s epoxied now though 🙃
now the safty when going down is not working so if someone is underneath or car it just goes down but wont stop and go back up
The sensors are both on? When it’s going up does it go back down if you get in the way of the sensors ?
@@GarageDoorGuidance it’s working good the sensors need to be change to the new ones
i did this step now how do i program remotes
Press the program square for about 3 seconds then press the remotes
@@GarageDoorGuidance yes thank you 😊
Thank you
Thanks man
what replacement battery did you use?

🎉thanks bud
Thank u so much
Thank you 🙏
The only thing I felt like you didn’t say was to finish the video by letting me know how tight to put the new chain. And can you just keep retightening them until they just break some day or will it make some ridiculous noises before breaking?
I don’t remember saying it or not but usually about as tight as a bicycle chain, when the chain losens over the years it typically indicates a breaking / shifting gear. Tightening it after that fact speeds up that process of the gear fully breaking so I normally tell people to leave it be
One of my center #1 hinges broke. I went to the dealer and bought a replacement, a slightly heavier gauge model that he recommended. I replaced the broken one with the new one, tried the door, and panels started bending and the door would not go up or down. Both the new hinge and the other old hinges have screw slots to allow for adjustment. Is there a specific sized gap that should be created between the panels when replacing the hinges to allow them to open and close? If so; none of these DIY hinge replacement posts mention it.
It shouldn’t have made a difference if it was the same hinge just thicker. Any chance you can send me a photo of the issue ? I’ve heard this before. Garagedoorguidance @ yahoo
Worked perfectly thanks!
What the instructions don't say is that you have to go to the Liftmaster box, not the Liftmaster opener on your wall. I was pressing the learn button on the wall opener and it wouldn't work. Thank you!!
Thank you very much!
Thank you very much for this clear and concise video! Was able to fix my mom’s garage with ease! Keep up the great work!
Thanks 👍🏾
Thank you. The instructions were trash. It never told me to put the trolly near the motor. I could not wrap the chain around the sprocket with the trolly on the opposite end. Thank you again. Chamberline should hire you!!!
😂🙏🏻
@@GarageDoorGuidance It was a Craftsman opener. Thanks again.
I did what you said and it worked! But what do you do when you have tightened all the way?
Did you check if your gear is shifted forward?
Fixed the garage door thanks brother!
Thanks buddy you answered all my questions !
