FYI. The 878 max keypad does not work with the model 8500 shaft drive opener with the instructions supplied. I had to use the instructions for the 877 keypad that was installed with the 8500. Those instructions told me to use the learn button on the wired remote and that worked fine.

Great video, do you know if it's the same setup for a craftsman keypad opener. And my garage door motor is a craftsman with a green button on it, does that mean I have to hit that four times, where you only hit that once. I would appreciate if you could get back to me thank you

Green would be 4 and yes it should be the same for craftsman 👍🏻

@@GarageDoorGuidance thank you for getting back to me, I called Sears support, they told me the model number I have won't work with the green button, this one came off my other garage where it did work. I believe it's a purple button. I ordered a new one that will work with green button, for 20 bucks thank you for getting back to me
