Thanks Robert! I find myself referring back to my own videos sometimes 😅. I'll forget how to program a certain genie machine or keypad and have to go watch a video. Lolz I use these videos to send to customers of mine also. I mean, who wants to drive through some of the country's worst traffic just for a safety sensor adjustment or programming a keypad. I just send them video's and say if you can't figure it out call me back. 99.9% of the time it works!

Very helpful, I watch all your videos. You make it so simple.

I followed the directions and programmed it. It will open and close the door but the issue I’m having is that even if I wait for the lights on the keypad to go off, I can still go back to it, press enter (with no code) and the door still opens. Any advice?

Great video. They must have changed how you program it from when it came out in 2011. They never used to have you use the pound key before the number of press to correspond to the learn button color.

How do you program duel garage doors with one key pad? We have the 877 max and it has the capability, but not I haven’t been able to program the 2nd door.

To program the 877 Keyless Entry to more than one garage door opener, repeat the steps, using a new PIN for each additional garage door opener. 👍🏼

So what do I do if my buttons don't have a color? I have the lift master medium duty logic and its more of a commercial one and is just a black button?

It's either a purple or yellow when you go to program.

Perhaps a dumb question, but if I add the 877Max keyless entry to a garage door that currently has no keyless entry but is programmed to a remote in my car, will I need to reprogram the remote in the car?

@@corridos3v3 hello and thanks for the comment! If you hear clicks then I would make sure your safety sensors are correctly aligned. 9 times out of 10 that's what the issue is.

Open and closing with the keypad will only work for me when the garage door opener light is off. Anyone know why that could be ?

That's a great question. One that I don't have an answer for. Maybe something is up with the receiver side of the circuit board. If you really want to get down to the nuts and bolts of it, I'd call Chamberlain tech support. That's definitely a new one for me. Let us know if you find the answer.

Is there a way to reset JUST the keyless pad without doing a reset to everything? Son-in-law messed up the code and now we can't reset the pad working from the old code.

The only way you can wipe out all the codes is if you press and hold the learn button and continually to hold until the LED light goes off. When you're setting the new code for the keypad, don't clear the memory. When it comes to the steps to press the learn button, just press it in and out, activating it. Then follow the next step.

I have Liftmaster 877Max but just want to reset the keyless pin on it, I have had 3 years. There is a Wall Plug Reciever that operates my 1975 Sears Craftsman Overhead Garage Door. Its 45 yrs old and still works great! Can u please tell me just how to simply Change the Pinn on my Wireless Keyless entry Pad. Thank U so Very Much!!! : ) I know it must be something super simple but am afraid of messin up! I dont want to do any elaborate reprogramming, just want to change the pinn.

Your external receiver. You have to remove the cover to expose a little button. That button is your learn button. I believe you want to code it as a red/orange learn button. Just follow the steps like in the video, programming to a red/orange learn button scenario. You're not going to mess anything up! 💯

Ah, YOU were absolutely right sir--Color's impotant-it was an ORANGE square light! I was at first fooled by the PURPLE pigtail wire. Now the code is easily & successfully changed! I salute u....and also Sears for selling me a product that has worked every single day for more than 45 yrs without a single problem. That's what I call true Quality. :-)

Make sure to press nice and firmly and slow on the keys.

@@navindas2 just one 4 digit pin unfortunately. Although, you can set a temporary password for it. Up to so many openings or so many hours.

I have a Craftsman which would NOT work until I started with the door down, AND IGNORED THE ORANGE LEARN 3 TIME PRESS. Instead, I pretended it was the YELLOW ONE PRESS learn. The LED is yellow, so maybe these programming geniuses meant that??????????

I don't have a learn button. All I have is a reset button. I'm so mad.
