Constant beeping on a new garage door opener typically means the backup battery needs to be replaced. Replacing the backup battery on a Liftmaster model 8500 is the same as doing it on many other Liftmasters / Craftsmans / and Chamberlains. A very easy process and the batteries aren't very expensive. I'll add my thanks also. Quick and easy. When I finished hooking up the replacement, I noticed that flashing green light at the top right and didn't know what to do. Reviewing your video again, I see that same blinking light as you button the system back. I think I'm good to go and thanks again.

I replaced the battery by following your instructions and using the link to purchase the battery ($35). Everything is working perfectly. Question for you, could this battery be recharged?

It does recharge while it’s in the unit, but it usually just lasts around 5 years
