Dads friends gave me like a 93 fox one day. Had 122k miles I think. Hadn't run in 10 years. Transmission grinded it, back brakes went out grinding, water pump went out, fuel pump needed replaced twice. Alternator gave trouble, ac pump was rattling, 2 radiators needed, all the bushings was rotted, headlight switch went out, was missing pieces inside needed all the rubber done. But the engine did run damn good and guy I sold it to fixed a lot of the issues and engine still runs but it was beat down so bad and that was almost 10 years ago. Couldn't imagine them now

Makes sense. It does become a "rabbit hole", the older, the car is. I'm hitting, the replacement, of whole suspension assemblies, on a 10 year old car, to keep it, from sounding like, a 10 year old car lol. Just got the , flex pipe ( $600 ), replaced, on a 10 year old factory exhaust system, and guess what, the rest of it, will have to be replaced, for inspection ( another $1300 ). It never ends, the older, the car gets lol.

It would be awesome if a company like makers, garage or someone similar made reproduction carbon fiber interior parts for the fox body. I know you can get - pieces and I know you can get door panels and a few miscellaneous trim pieces but the big quarter plastics and trunk pieceswould be cool along with a carbon fiber dash

Years ago, I was reading an article that said the Fox body was going to be the next 57 chevy. This is 100% accurate. I ended my search for a "Nice" fox. Everyone wants $20,000 and up for a good fox. Everything I looked at under $20K has been a piece of junk that is ragged out. Any fox with little to no mods low miles will run you $30K and up. Muscle cars are just for the super-rich today. I remember when these cars were everywhere, and people were street racing the crap out of them. Now, it's an expensive car to take to a car show and park back in the garage.

Supply and demand... pretty simple. People really like the coupes and want them. They have a dream spec and there aren't any out there to buy. The guy with this car knew what the market would bear and he was obviously right on. That money is nothing for a LOT of people, and if preserved it will only appreciate.

I’ve got a 92 LX that I’ve completely restored with the exception of the original 4 cylinder engine that I still have but decided to put a 408 stroker in it instead. Not sure what it’s worth to others but it’s priceless to me so I guess it depends on the buyer and the seller as to what they decide it’s worth and both are in agreement and please with their selling and buying price.

Don't matter how you try and describe it a fox will never be worth $60K. And I love these things and are my favorite cars!!! I've had probably 15 of these through the years and still have 2 right now but they will never be worth that much. People have gotten stupid with these prices and ripping everybody off!!
