    I was gonna say, better not take that GT40 intake off. That work of art gives the engine character. If anything get it ported out. Nice give away. Thought Trick Flow stopped making their intakes since I haven't seen them in ages

    Better torque converter. I put a pro edge 3000 lock up in my AOD and it was a massive difference. Car has trick flow 170’s, explorer intake and stock cam, supporting mods and gears.

    Hopefully soon your red pro mod race car gets done so pops car stays a cruiser! Sickening to see so many stangs slowly make transition to race car. Watched it from day 1, from the search, to the tear jerking find, right on to today. Don't make me come to jackson, I'm already mad I missed fto.

    For nostalgia purposes Id swap the heads and cam, port the lower intake and keep the tubular.

    I made the same mistake with my 5.0 when I built the motor. This was back in the 90's. I had a 89 trunk. I pulled the motor and built it with GT40P heads and intake and initially with a B-303 cam (Long tubes with flowmasters and all the bolt-ons possible at the time). I was not happy with the build and ended up swapping three different cams. My thinking at the time was I was building a daily driver and didn't want to go crazy with it. Unfortunately like your car, it was a turd. I ended up putting a 125 shot which helped. At the same time my buddy was building his motor (91 hatchback). He build a 331 stroker with TFS Twisted Wedge 195 heads and Track Heat intake. His car was bad ass and was untouchable at the time. I think about it all the time and wish I would have built the same motor as he did. I think I would have been much happier. It would have obviously cost more money, but would have been well worth it.

    I had planned to buy some SVE heads this month. But I found a great deal locally on some TFS heads. I'm really glad I did because I figured the SVE heads wouldn't last long, and I was right. Hopefully they can keep then in stock.

    That's cool of you to do this, they are nearly impossible to find, complete, brand new, trick flow intakes. I was looking for an R series for a while, thought lmr was actually gonna get a shipment but they never came in. Found a guy on marketplace that a brand new upper with a 1262 gasket matched lower for 650, I jumped on it so fast lol. But fess up now where'd you get it!? Lol

    I love my stage 1 in my 78 f150. It’s small for a 351w, I’d like to try a set of those ace heads when they are back in stock, but I don’t want to spend the money and have to change pistons.

    The heads and cam are nice, that Trickflow intake sucks. Holley systemax would have been 100% the better choice, to each there own I guess

    Still the best looking intake in my opinion. I have the same package except I went with the Holley intake. Just waiting for cooler weather to get started.

    Big dogs can port them things to make some pretty good power way better than just an off the shelf version so if one likes the look but want better performance I'd suggest hit them up. They do some pretty good work. They can port better heads and intakes too obviously

    If you don't mind waiting 8-10 months to get your stuff back. BigDog will get the job done but he'll tell you 4-6 weeks and it'll be shy of a year. And once you ship no communication until it is done.

    A better converter is where I'd start... A Precision Industries or Circle D... Nothing else compares, I found out the hard way myself...

    Tubular intake makes no more real power than an Explorer .. Back to back dyno tests proven.

    1st we need a trip to the track or a draggy to see what pops car runs.second its screaming for a coyote and 10r80.just keep the coyote stock it fits the stock theme.you will like it and most important being its and auto the wife will like it.win,win,win.
