There is nothing to a t5 to rebuild so easy, my first trans I did a tko, has alot more slides, and alot more to shifting parts then simple t5

Yep that really sucked because she was all ready down for a while with the motor swap then less than 2 months this happened.We just gona be cruising for a while I don't care to work on them all the time especially when we got this pretty weather

Wild. People drive those 3550's into the 8's. Just a bit of bad luck i guess. How's the shift quality vs the 3550?

That 3550 shifted really good I never had a problem with it until that week I turned it up to 7200.I believe that's what got her now on to that TKX is definitely a lots smoother trans it's really hard to tell when you even go into the next gear.Im still breaking it is so I haven't made any high rpms shifts jsut yet.

Everything looks easy with a lift 😂

Is the TKX a straight swap for the old 3550/tko? I have a 3550 behind a 351w turbo setup and need to upgrade. Wasn't sure if I needed a different driveshaft etc. I'd love to swap out and not do the clutch or anything. Great channel as always

It will bolt right to the bellhousing but you will need a 31 spine yoke he has them also.Then just any 26 spine clutch then your all set

That 3550 is the new tko500,, will handle 500ftps, the 600 has close ratio

The 3550 is considered a tko 500 now, the only difference is gear ratio and rear spline,as for counter shaft u can get with stock spline so that don't matter, 3550 is a beast

@@alltherpm when I was looking up parts for it they was the same as the 500 except the inputs and output shafts witch can also be swapped.I just couldn't trust the 3550 now more after what happened to 3rd when I'm up there at 7k plus rpms us what killed it.I really believe if you keep them below that they work great

@@blownfox I had that issue of lockout in fourth lost alot of races and missed shifts cause of it, that's when I said fuk it ill try putting shift improver in it, carbon syncros, billet finger, brass pads updated forks, and if fails ill buy tkx, well I succeeded, and this trans now will shift as high as I want,

Remember the recommended (not to) Brake in period.

Tkx sucks destroyed mine in less than a year
