Upgrade for the diff, a quality stall converter, and a shift kit for the sluggish AOD, Pop's car is going to drive amazing.

Nice! 100% agree with pulling the dash - especially for a build and sell. It will be interesting to see what the stall converter does for you. On the shift kit - read the instructions 2-3 times before starting. Mark out anything you will not use and mark the things you will use. Check them off as you do them.

you’ll like the nice firm shifts with that kit definitely noticed a difference between shifts with mine

My wife has a 7up AOD. I have a 7up 5 speed. Hers has a HCI and a gear and I bucks when going from OD to drive. Think I need a stall.Was told it had one but don’t think it does. Very interested how that’s gonna work

Aren't AODs always locked up in 3 and OD... no TC slip ??

You need to keep that afr and boost gage never know what's heading down the road 😉

That converter is gona b tight, i had the 3000 and it was like a 2400

If you are not happy with that converter. Get an Edge Converter next time. Andre will make you the best converter for your car.

got a set of GT40 non-P heads off a 1997 ford explorer from a local pick n pull. the truck had 275,000 miles on the odometer I was wondering if I can use the GT40 valve springs with the factory mustang H.O. cam or do I need to upgrade the valve springs to a trick flow set. Thank you for your time.

Always do springs, valves, and guides before putting them on! it will save hassle.

@@lldjslim it will run but valve control will b crap, explorers didn't have high rev limiters, like I said it will run, but if u have a bigger cam and roller rockers it b worse

I have a video on the Transpak. I recently install the Transpack and I love it! The only issue I have is that the instructions are not 100% clear on which holes to drill and I called and they couldn’t help me either 🤷‍♂️ Long story short mine only needed the 2 C holes drilled and not the A and B On the separator plate. Awesome Video! 🇺🇸💪🏼
