    If you’re accusing Sonic Frontiers of cheating, you may as well call out “Waifu Lootbox Impact” for not belonging on that list to begin with, due to it not being a game from that year. Oh and we also don’t know that there were bots voting for Sonic Frontiers. Let’s not kid ourselves, the game awards are as trustworthy as games journalists. Which is to say not at all. And whether you like Sonic Frontiers or not, it IS an enjoyable experience, for the most part, that even normies were tempted to try. I’ve heard some “sonic was never good” people saying that this time, they genuinely found themselves interested in Sonic Frontiers. Of course, nothing that Sega will ever do is ever going to satisfy fans. Sonic fans, as I’ve learned, simply cannot enjoy a game for what it is, without obsessing over what it isn’t (Sonic Adventure 2). You guys are the sonic fan equivalent of black pill. Always about the empty half of the glass.

    7:53 “Scripted scene” is actually a double entendre because scripted scenes are often also literally hard coded into the game, i.e., running off of a literal “script” in the programming sense of the word

    Of course, a lot of those "allegations" are bullshit. I find it very suspicious that around the time the first allegations started coming out, Jackson had just gone on a tirade criticizing record producers and his overall bosses. I'm still not buying all of it, considering how many people were all hopped on board with ruining him.

    Tyler Malka lay on the cold, metallic operating table, his heart pounding against his ribs. The dim lights of the sterile operating room cast eerie shadows on the walls. The beeping of the heart monitor was the only sound, punctuating the suffocating silence. Tyler’s mind raced, grappling with the terrifying reality that this was his final surgery. He knew he wouldn’t leave this room alive. A sudden hiss echoed through the room as the door creaked open. Tyler’s breath hitched as a figure in a surgeon’s gown and mask stepped into the light. His eyes widened in disbelief as he recognized the man - Takashi Iizuka, the head of Sonic Team. What was he doing here? Panic surged through Tyler’s veins. “Why… why are you here?” Tyler’s voice trembled, his words barely more than a whimper. Iizuka’s eyes glinted with a cold, cruel amusement. He offered no explanation, only a chilling smile that sent shivers down Tyler’s spine. As he approached the table, Tyler began to thrash and struggle, the restraints digging painfully into his wrists and ankles. “This has to do with the things I said… about you… about Sonic…” Tyler’s voice broke into sobs. He could feel the tears streaming down his face, but Iizuka’s expression remained unmoved. With a calm, deliberate motion, Iizuka prepared a syringe filled with a glowing, green substance. The sight of it made Tyler’s blood run cold. He begged for mercy, his cries echoing off the sterile walls, but Iizuka remained silent, his face a mask of malevolent intent. “You know, Malka-san,” Iizuka finally spoke, his voice heavy with a mixture of pity and contempt. “In your next life, you will live happier without the current world.” His words were laced with a dark sense of humor, but his eyes burned with anger. “But that doesn’t excuse your worthless presence in this timeline. The Sonic hatedom will always get what it rightfully deserves - being killed on sight for being the worst internet minority.” Tyler screamed, the sound piercing and desperate, as Iizuka plunged the syringe into his arm. The burning pain was immediate and excruciating. Tyler’s vision blurred, and he felt his consciousness slipping away. His last thought was a frantic wish for it all to be a nightmare. Moments later, Tyler awoke with a gasp, his lungs burning for air. But something was different. He felt smaller, weaker. He blinked against the harsh light, realizing he was no longer on the operating table. He was in a crib, surrounded by soft, pastel colors. His tiny hands clutched the blanket beneath him. He was a baby. As he looked around the room, he noticed something strange. The world outside the window seemed peaceful, almost idyllic. There were no signs of the toxic internet culture he once knew. It was a world without the presence of the Sonic hatedom and other vocal video game minorities. A nurse entered the room, cooing softly as she picked him up. “Welcome to a new beginning, little one,” she whispered, her voice soothing. Tyler’s mind was a swirl of confusion and relief. Perhaps, in this new timeline, he could find the happiness that had eluded him before. But deep down, the memory of Iizuka’s cruel smile and the horror of his final moments lingered, a reminder of the price he had paid for his past actions. And as he drifted back to sleep, he couldn’t shake the feeling that this second chance came at a terrible cost.

    Hey BlazeHedgehog, what’s your current thoughts on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?

  • @BlazeHedgehog
    @BlazeHedgehog4 күн бұрын

    I don't like it. The extra item slot makes races a little more chaotic, and the final patch for the final DLC shortened item box respawn rates to make it easier for everyone to have items all the time. They consistently dragged this Mario Kart 8 back into being a random, chaos-fueled party game when I liked it better when it had a little more strategy and skill to winning. :/

    7:00 ya'know, the early part of sonic fandom on the web is what made it engaging, i'm atleast 7-8 years younger than you, and i find it funny ppl in the gaming media think they're superior to anyone who likes sonic, when publishers gleefully fuak them hard in the ass - and mock the critics for it, look at what happened to one guy that got shat on by a 16 yr old intern for a rage 2 controversy lolololololololollololololo the hardcore sonic critics that made hateart, shit memes, trash articles, never made anything of note in their life, and it's justified, everyone just laughs irl towards a crappy anti sonic personality, for trying to instigate the franchise they no longer like out of not catering to it's viewpoint, i remember mamarobotnik being a vocal "classic fanboy narcist" on neogaf, with a bunch of hardcore former sonic fan memes, until the forum went through it's downfall phase in 2017 - she went to resetera and left that cesspool too, now just posts on tumblar wanting nothing to do with that trash site i will keep laughing at the sonic hatedom's miserable attempts at wanting to be taken seriously, looking at arin's collaborative efforts with segah in the past in 2014, sega was spiting the dude anyway, nowadays this wannabe voice actor career only lasted 4 years inbetween - it's safe to say sonic has never truly been a "joke" at all when only just a select few games are bad, the sonic hatedom on the other hand.......pffffttttttt caused gamers to looked at weird ever since the mid 80s - late 2000s, it waas around sonic adventure's time that a majorty of ppl thought gamers were cool, man. esp when they grew out off being angry at the game and taking out frustration on the tv,

    About being able to play the 360 version of Sonic Generations at 60 fps on Series X/S: There is a little over-site on Chemical Plant Zone Act 2 where on one of the short-cuts (a crane) due to, what I am assuming to be, a programming snafu, the second rotatable crane will always launch Sonic into a death pit. This is another assumption but, I think that particular crane is on a timer to launch Sonic with the countdown based on frame rate. Which on consoles is 30 fps. Putting it at 60 just messes with this invisible timer.

  • @BlazeHedgehog
    @BlazeHedgehog7 күн бұрын

    As far as I'm aware, you're right. I think I remember hearing from Dario (creator of The Unleashed Project Mod for Sonic Generations) that the PC version of Generations even temporarily drops to 30fps in scenarios like that just to make sure it functions properly. It does it in such a way that you don't notice (just long enough for it to work right), something that the 60fps 360 version doesn't do. Apparently there's a couple more places where 60fps can break the game too, but I don't remember them off the top of my head.

  • @Stevin20687
    @Stevin206877 күн бұрын

    @@BlazeHedgehog Interesting. I never heard or read anything about the frame rate drops on PC. Then again I have my head buried in the sand when it comes to most of this stuff. Still, thank you for informing me about that particular quirk of PC Generations. I don't remember much else where that 60 fps messes with the rest of the game besides CPZ Act 2 and the helicopter at the beginning of Speed Highway Act 2 (that thing flies off way too fast). I'll just mess around in the game later (mostly the mini games) and see, personally, where else things get weird. That or look up the info.🤣

Although I will say the gameplay they provided wasn’t the best. With them doing that annoying triple a game thing of going at a purposefully slower pace. Honestly, I have no faith or hope in Sega and Sonic Team doing anything right nowadays, especially after the absolute mess that was "Sonic Superstars". If "Sonic Origins (Plus*)" overall was a huge disappointment for longtime classic hardcore fans, then "Sonic Superstars" is a huge slap in the face to longtime classic hardcore fans. It's going to take a heck of a lot more than a simple remaster of "Sonic Generations" to get them back in my good grace again.

If you're trying to get the true ending it can get repetitive sure but outside of this the game is really just more team chaotix with guns, which is fine and the guns aren't forced on you nor take away from gameplay. the game isn't amazing but it's not offensively bad like 06 or sonic 4 it's a solid mid tier game

    @2:30 I feel like little changes like sonic's model isn't necessarily sega "micromanaging" anything, but much more likely the result of some unrelated thing that simply forced the change - like you said, it costs money to do these things so if they didn't have to spend that money they wouldn't (and also lends itself to why it is a "weird" thing for them to do). The reason sonic fans get dunked on for this kind of thing isn't for simply noticing the changes, it's because they tend to get worked up over extremely minor details that don't actually change the game, and then will fabricate/assume reasons why it was done. Like, I dunno, seems just as likely they tried all the things you suggested and they didn't work, so they had to make a new model and it isn't 100% exact. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    The way Goozex worked is for every trade you made, you got points to spend on games others had posted. But the exchange rate changed and people would list games at different prices all the time, so what Goozex let you do is make a list of games you wanted at a price you were comfortable paying, and once a game was listed at that price, you'd automatically spend your points and get it. Goozex also gave you like $5 in free points for signing up. So I went through the entire site and added a bunch of $5-and-under things to my buy list. Was very confused when one day Shadow the Hedgehog for the PS2 showed up over two years later. I'd completely forgotten Goozex by that point. Eventually I figured it out and discovered it had been listed at $2.50. The other $2.50 in points ended up being spent on Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the GBA like a year later.
