Here’s another weird thing. At the end of the Sonic 3 portion of Sonic 3 and Knuckles, they play the And Knuckles ending jingle. They also have the Sonic 3 standalone ending jingle in the museum. A music screw up? Possibly.

Something I neglected to mention on Stream is that I can confirm Sega has access to the prototype music. When Angel Island rises out of the water at the end of Sonic 3 and Knuckles, the prototype Sonic 3 credits music is used for a minute, and to my knowledge that’s not a new arrangement
