    Hello! I just wanted to ask if there are stores where we can buy ouji clothes in person and not through a website

    Im enjoying these. Im wanting to buy but also make my own so I'm trying to learn as much as i can about the fashion. But having some pieces as reference is always better ^^

    Sorry, do you know a place online where I can buy ethical Ouji? Is princess chronicles ethical? I really like their clothes, but the fact that it is a Chinese brand scares me a bit.

    What I found is you can modify dresses that are already leaning into vintage (or are vintage reproduction dresses) sometimes. If you can sew and know what to change. This doesn't work very well for modern sweet but classic and old school are achieveable with this method.

    I kind of want to dress up like this but the weather is insufferable in the country I live in(it's usually 40°C in the summer)

    Oh nooo! On, my end, Australia summers get pretty crazy as well so I feel your pain, it's definitely not fun wearing warmer ouji coordinates during then. A short sleeved blouse and a vest might be a work-around for the summer heat.

    Just got this recommended and i love you…. 🖤 Im just getting into gothic ouji fashion with a visual kei twist (thanks to my obsession with black butler and artists like kiyoharu, deftones, and boa) and i want to start the change soon considering i am now considered an adult. I’ll be following your content very closely for tips and will definitely send this vids to my mom (codependant shut in who almost never leaves the house) Sorry for such a long comment whoo- i don’t socialize irl so im getting a little too comfy online.

    I have a question about the sizing of vests. Should it be tight on your body or should there be some room left? How tight should your vest be?

  • @katelinkimmet
    @katelinkimmetАй бұрын

    When ordering online if your on the fence on sizing I always say it's best to size up (more so that it's always easier to tailor something smaller if you need to, rather than trying to make something bigger). As for tightness don't forget you'll need room for your blouse underneath and to breathe! I've attached this useful link, that, (though for normal formalwear vests) shows some good picture examples of what is too tight vs too loose: bespokeunit.com/suits/fit/waistcoat/

  • @zzeko25
    @zzeko25Ай бұрын

    Thank you, this already helps and the link gives me a better picture of how it should be, thanks a lot ❤️ But can I ask...if you have a bust size of 88cm, would 90cm be enough or should you go for 94cm instead or would that be too big? (refering to Princess Chronicles Secret Morning News vest btw) (ordering online is kind of a struggle because you can't try it on TwT)

  • @katelinkimmet
    @katelinkimmetАй бұрын

    @@zzeko25 Hmm tricky, I'd play it safe and go for the 94cm. I feel most taobao brands I have gotten tend to be on the smaller size. (But even this tends to vary company to company), if it's too big you can always take it in at a tailor or at least be able to wear it (I've gotten pieces too small at the point there really isn't much you can do besides selling it as getting something made bigger is difficult). Agree ordering online be a struggle - so if you lucky enough to have any local lolita swap meets I always recommend checking them out! - some lolita blouses work out really well for ouji.

    Is it weird to make a look with ouji style clothes and a goth lolita style headwear???? I'm making a bunny plushie as a gift for my friend's birthday and i really wanna make an ouji inspired outfit for it, but i also thought it would be cute for it to include a lacey and pretty headwear that can be an accessory for the plushie and they can wear it themselves (that's a genuine question, i'm afraid of fucking it up)

  • @katelinkimmet
    @katelinkimmetАй бұрын

    Hmm I'd say in this instance it's really depend on what sort of headpiece. For example: you really wouldn't see Lolita rectangular headpiece/frilly headbows with ouji. That being said a 'lacey pretty' could work: Link example here if this was in black colourway: lolibrary.org/items/aatp-princess-rabbit-mini-crown it could work with ouji and both gothic lolita. What about a better idea and have multiple outfits for the rabbit :) (Then the bunny could have a Lolita and Ouji outfit!)
