A beginner guide to Ouji vests

A beginner guide to Ouji vests : Rather than just buying things randomly I hope this provides a quick guide what to look out for / what to expect when buying ouji vests. Unfortunately when i first started this hobby there wasn't really a lot around on ouji vests so now you can avoid my mistakes!
In this video we include things like:
-Open/closed back vests
- Different ouji vest designs
-Styling your ouji vest (over skirts and with lolita fashion)
I hope this quick guide helps and thanks for watching!

Katelin Ramblings!
We return with more Ouji content! This one has been on the 'to do' list for a VERY long time so I'm glad it's finally out! Thanks for checking out my little corner of the internet :)
Also I've finally got around to opening a Ko-fi so now you can support me: ko-fi.com/katelinkimmet . Unfortunately my videos are really short so unfortunately don't qualify with enough watch time to ad revenue. Thank you for the support!

I have a question about the sizing of vests. Should it be tight on your body or should there be some room left? How tight should your vest be?

When ordering online if your on the fence on sizing I always say it's best to size up (more so that it's always easier to tailor something smaller if you need to, rather than trying to make something bigger). As for tightness don't forget you'll need room for your blouse underneath and to breathe! I've attached this useful link, that, (though for normal formalwear vests) shows some good picture examples of what is too tight vs too loose: bespokeunit.com/suits/fit/waistcoat/

Thank you, this already helps and the link gives me a better picture of how it should be, thanks a lot ❤️ But can I ask...if you have a bust size of 88cm, would 90cm be enough or should you go for 94cm instead or would that be too big? (refering to Princess Chronicles Secret Morning News vest btw) (ordering online is kind of a struggle because you can't try it on TwT)

@@zzeko25 Hmm tricky, I'd play it safe and go for the 94cm. I feel most taobao brands I have gotten tend to be on the smaller size. (But even this tends to vary company to company), if it's too big you can always take it in at a tailor or at least be able to wear it (I've gotten pieces too small at the point there really isn't much you can do besides selling it as getting something made bigger is difficult). Agree ordering online be a struggle - so if you lucky enough to have any local lolita swap meets I always recommend checking them out! - some lolita blouses work out really well for ouji.

Sorry, do you know a place online where I can buy ethical Ouji? Is princess chronicles ethical? I really like their clothes, but the fact that it is a Chinese brand scares me a bit.

Unfortunately I haven't bought from my princess chronicles myself to know what their quality is like or much about the ethics. However in this video I made, there are a few other places you might be able to buy ouji (if you mean ethical as 2nd loved items? closet child, lacemarket and you comm lolita/ouji swap meets might be an option): kzread.info/dash/bejne/laN8tLCshaW0aZs.html
