DIY Waistcoat | Step by step sewing tutorial | How to make a fitted waistcoat
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hi everyone,
Welcome or welcome back to my channel. My name is Jess and I love doing DIY, making clothes in a "simply but pretty" way.
In today's video, I'm going to share with you how I made my waistcoat. This is the perfect DIY for this transition season. You can wear this waistcoat by itself or layer it with a t-shirt or shirt, even a dress too.
To make this DIY, please check out my basic information below:
- Sewing machine: Merrit Joyful Sewing
- Material: 1m of khaki fabric
- My body measurements: 80-64-92cm. I'm 165cm tall and usually wear Small size. The pattern created based on my body size for your reference.
I learn sewing by myself. So I would love to know more sharing from you guys to improve my skill. Please join me in this sewing journey by being a part of it here www.jessdangdiy.com/

Thank you for loving it too! It was my first timing trying to make it. And it's totally worthy if you're into minimal and chic style
I just finished sewing a tier skirt from your tutorial (it was for the Barbie movie and it turned out lovely!) and wanted to sew a vest for a separate outfit and stumbled upon this video! I love your videos, they're so simple and fun to watch too :) Thank you for making them!

Best sewing tutorial for a vest that I’ve seen. The only think I would do different is somehow make the last open seam for turning at the side interior seam.

Thanks for loving it! For this one, it's better to test it out with cheap fabric first before using your expensive one. Because it's quite fitted and you might need to adjust some parts too.
I want to make waist coat from several years ago. I saw many tutorials and I gave up my efforts. But you Jess, explain everything. It looks like, I can also try a bit. Thanks for sharing tutorials

Great video as always. But something is missing from this one. Something wasn't said clearly or shown. I got to the end with right sides showing and 2 openings at the bottom (as shown) and 2 side openings (as shown). This is a dead end. Now there is no way to close the sides or the openings at the bottom. If you go inside out and close these openings, now there is no way to turn the garment right out again.
Thank you super ❤
Hi, I don't know how to do the hidden seam step, can you clarify it for me? , Thank you very cute vest
Hi, how do you measure inside shoulder?
