6 Ouji Fashion Beginner tips everyone should know!

Here are my tips you want to try Ouji fashion from my own experiences. Whether it's to try it from Lolita fashion or because you want to go straight into Ouji I hope these tips would help!
Quick Summary
1. More focus on Blouses Selection
2. More focus on neckwear, jabots, necks scarves, bow ties and brooches
3. Avoid transparent blouses - it's limiting to coordinates
4. Less focus on socks then Lolita fashion - High boots or long pants mean high socks basically get hidden all the time.
5. Get a versatile hat then just many hats - brand ones that are limiting aren't worth it
6. You can implement a lot more off-brand stuff

    Questions: 1: can you wear platform shoes with this?(since I quite like them and I am still supposedly still finding a style I like a lot) 2: are there any colour restrictions? and 3: what kind of styles are you allowed to mix in with ouji? I heard you were able to with quite a few but it never mentioned what ones. thank you! :)

  • @katelinkimmet

    @katelinkimmet

    2 жыл бұрын

    1: I've definitely seen people run platform boots with coordinates so don't see any issues with platform shoes :) 2: No colour restrictions (I've also seen people do pastel colour palettes for ouji) - keeping similar colours only makes it easier for matching pieces in your wardrobe if you're cheap like me. (I personally prefer the darker colours as there is just more available to buy - which is why my wardrobe is mostly just black and reds for me). 3: Ouji isn't really as defined as lolita, but I'll try best to give a bit more of a guide - as for styles I'd say you can definitely go for a younger look (think peter pan collars and pumpkin shorts) down to a more mature look (think more aristocrat, high collar blouses, vests). You can also do more sweeter inspired looks (pastels) to a more gothic look (darker colours). If you ever need and inspiration - I highly recommend the 'Closet of Frills' FB page and you can find some Ouji inspiration on there :)

    Coloured wigs are fine if they are good quality and overall cohesive with the ouji coordinate. I have a video of good vs bad wigs that might help since cheap/costumey wigs will take away the overall classiness your going for in Ouji :) Link for video here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nIOiwcygp5a0c7w.html Hope this helps :)

    Is it weird to make a look with ouji style clothes and a goth lolita style headwear???? I'm making a bunny plushie as a gift for my friend's birthday and i really wanna make an ouji inspired outfit for it, but i also thought it would be cute for it to include a lacey and pretty headwear that can be an accessory for the plushie and they can wear it themselves (that's a genuine question, i'm afraid of fucking it up)

  • @katelinkimmet

    Hmm I'd say in this instance it's really depend on what sort of headpiece. For example: you really wouldn't see Lolita rectangular headpiece/frilly headbows with ouji. That being said a 'lacey pretty' could work: Link example here if this was in black colourway: lolibrary.org/items/aatp-princess-rabbit-mini-crown it could work with ouji and both gothic lolita. What about a better idea and have multiple outfits for the rabbit :) (Then the bunny could have a Lolita and Ouji outfit!)
