    Hello Sean, do you need to replace the drain/fill plugs too or just add new washers? Or get new crush washers (size?). Clutch fill/drain plugs are same size washers too? Thanks

    You can replace them, isn't necessary.

    In my humble opinion, this happens because the 570 and 600 don't have a water drain hose for the windshield. So when it rains or you wash the car, water ends up right on the ABS unit. Whenever I work on these cars, I always add a windshield water drain hose to fix this problem.

    @McMedics ouch 😢..thought maybe they were decently easy since it all just kind hangs in there.. god i cant wait to get mine!! I most likely will know EVERY nut and bolt...i look at them like my mx race bikes....lots of fun maintenance 🙃 and smiles for miles

    @McMedics gm's issue was a chip went bad...there was a diy fix for it. I wonder if mclaren is easily repaired as well...imagine they are more then the 650 dollor gm units....especially since ALOT of the traction control relies on it as well.

    I sent it ahead, I knew what it was. I also had to fix what another shop did attempting to fix it. The only person that knows how to work on McLaren in Colombia is me when I'm there 😎

    What are the symptoms of a failed DLD?

    Erratic idle on cold start, misfires on 5678, rattling sound from the middle of the car at idle, failed starter, vibration from the rear at low RPM high torque. It could be some or all of those things.

    Could be cold start adaptation, DLD, MAP sensor, or spark related.

    I lost 25000 euro in a year with M5 F90 depreciaton. I have bought 2021 used M5 last year, I sold it 11 months later with losing 25k euro. So 5 year 25000 euro is pretty acceptable.

    One wasn't depreciation, it was total ownership with maintenance and modifications. Depreciation has been about $10k over now 6 years

    Hey I had a quick question. You mentioned once in a comment on another video about something you called "lot rot' or cars that have too low of miles because they weren't driven. I know the year of the car might change things but do you have a recommendation on the lowest mileage to be willing to go with on an MP4-12C?

    Never like lithium batteries, they are so temperamental and just stop working with no warning.Odyssey batteries are so much better and don't cost as much as a lithium battery.

    Lithium shut down before damage and don't have a memory like lead acid. All batteries die for a reason. In this case, had it been a regular battery I would have had to buy a new one.

    On other cars we do bleeding from calipers by two men method where one person will press brake pedal and open the bleeder bolt on caliper to bleed out old fluid , can’t we do same here ?

    @@TheRaysDoc Buy the cheapest available, coupled with how McLaren handles warranty work and sensationalize for views. Know what he doesn't tell you? He never had a problem with that car when he owned it. I drove it too, some months after he got it, solid car after an Italian tune up to get rid of the CEL.

    I just bought a fully loaded used 2015 jeep grand cherokee summit diesel. When I push the mirror fold button they fold inwards like normal but then when I push the button again for them to unfold the passenger mirror works properly but the drivers side mirror keeps going until it folds all the way forward. Any idea what could be happening?

    In fairness you could put the original back together with hog rings. But this is cool because most people think they are plug and play.

    You could put it back together but couldn't use it. It would give an airbag fault, and motorized controls wouldn't work, and the heater wouldn't work.

    @@McMedics As it sits (no pun intended). I was more talking about reversing it for purposes of selling the car in the future with its original seats. You shouldn't have had to do anything that isn't reversible. Whoever is selling those seats should sell as a package anyway. Kinda dumb on their part.

    The way the pad is made it's not reversible without adding more parts. You shouldn't have to do anything that isn't reversible but new seats should have all the electronics too, but don't. Genuine seats would.

    @@McMedics ohhhh i think i see the issue. Since you have to essentially glue it under the new seat pad? The other that comes to mind is safety. I am fairly certain the actual mclaren seats were autoclaved. I wonder if the same can be said for these china carbon versions are?

    @stevenlong4567 correct. He specifically requested not securing the passenger pad when shipping it, others they have. These seats look identical, they may have made them for McLaren

    Seat not cheap for any brand or model. Even the basic of Toyota Camry seat with airbag, heat & cold seat + wiring harness expensive. But it worth it after installing it for normal 570 upgrade Senna seat 😎

    Is this a logged feature or just a snapshot? If it is not logged you cannot see if the oil levels have been out of spec at anytime during the life time of the machine.
