Each year, headspace helps thousands of young people access vital support through our headspace centres in communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools.

headspace can help young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support.

I honestly don't get it when people say drinking alone is much worse than drinking with other people. I can’t speak for other people, but I tend to lose my control of shots when I'm accompanied by somether as opposed to drinking by myself. It all boils down to the individual.

It's very concerning that families are taking their young children to these rallies. This is not normal and presenting it as such to young people is dangerous

I went through a psychosis and in some way still feel like I am…it’s been 2-3 years or so. I too thought I was Jesus which I found very interesting that this was a similar experience in the video. I’m on plenty of medication now but I guess it’s been difficult for me to let go of the experience. I wrote about it constantly and made a bunch of songs at the time and I frequently listen to them to remember what I was going through and what it felt like. Some things I just can’t let go and sort of have to accept that my life won’t exactly be the same as it was, relationships with other people and so on. But with all that being said I think im grateful for the experience and my continued experience of life as a human being. Even when I’m frightened and feel doomed. This is the first video I’ve ever watched of someone explaining their experience so I’m going to watch some more now.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. We’re worried about you and hope you are getting the support you need. If you need immediate support please contact 000 or Lifeline at 13 11 14. We can’t offer advice on social media but we’d really recommend you reach out to your nearest headspace centre for support. You can find the closest one to you here: headspace.org.au/headspace-centres. If visiting a centre isn’t an option, we also offer free online support via eheadspace: headspace.org.au/online-and-phone-support/connect-with-us/talk-about-mental-health/ . Here you can connect with a clinician 1-on-1, talk about what’s on your mind and get information about what help is available. We hope this helps.

I have cannabis induced psychosis now gradually reducing my medication till finally I stop taking them. I've been on medication for the last 6 years and full of hope I'll get to stop them and live a normal life Update: Now I've been almost 2 months off respridon and I feel normal. Kind of energetic, optimistic and positively driven. Almost all side effects of the medicine are gradually disappearing Had couple of bad dreams but overall, all good inshallah for good

I feel like the reason students are stressed at school was not because of homework and learning, but it's because of exams and grades. Most students feel stressed because if they don't do well in exams and don't get good grades, it'll affect their academic performance and they might think they're a failure

@@ninjapirate123 I come from an extremely competitive country. If I don't work very hard I don't think I will get even a secondary school seat (students with 95% in their matriculation are wandering around). I am aiming cracking a competitive exam. While my peers' parents can buy seats for them with a shit ton of money (which is unfair and makes me jealous), my parents aren't that financially capable, which makes things even harder. I also have schoolwork stress and difficult exams and bullying and peer physical abuse, loneliness (cause I stay away from family), not understanding teachers who don't care etc etc. I also have high standards for myself, by gods grace, my parents now realised how little the school grades matter.
