Wonderful to see this old house. I was born close by in 1960 and always remember the view of it on the horizon. Its sooo sad to see the once great house now derelict to that degree. My late husbands family were gamekeepers who worked that estate and he remembers tales of the whole staff team from Bodnant moving up there for the Grouse season. I need to revisit before it disappears forever.
Thank you so much -- dioch
Diolch yn fawr Will! I will give this a go.
Will Huw are you also known as Billy Bug ?
I am indeed Val :)
I'm here after my boy sang this with his school recently 😅
Great stuff. Thanks for watching.
nice video Will, love the shot off of Tre'r Ceiri Diolch
A diolch i chi am wylio.
it's been 7 years but thank you friend you are a legend
Cheers.
My dad used to sing this to me as a child - emulated this perfectly!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
Yes, great thank you
You are welcome!
At least it was a made up story, just like King Arthur and Hobbits. If it was a pitbul or XL, then that would be different.
Yes. It's a common Celt legend.
The trouble with the story, is that many people treat it as a fact, even at the grave in Beddgelert . There should be a disclaimer stating it is just a hoax. A few years ago I spoke to a vicar in Trefriw church, he confirmed it was indeed a made up story.
Keeper in Welsh is pronounced: Cip, as in a nap, with a pronounced 'R' (ar) attached. (Bwthyn cip'R'.)

Great video, loved it. Interesting (and new?) transitions. The usual top editing - all makes it first class :o)
Cheers Ian. Yes, I'm experimenting with a new Video Editor called CapCut PC. Remarkable what it can do, as it's free! There is a paid version, but all the stuff I did was using the freebie :)
Superb video. So enjoyed it. Lovely to have such a backdrop at the end of your garden as a child. Enjoyed all the historical facts as well
Glad you enjoyed it Barbara. Thanks for watching.
Excellent idea, and beautiful scenery! I am hoping to visit Denbigh soon - I was in St Asaph and Holywell a few weeks ago - and I will try to find this place.
Please do! It's a lovely walk.
A pleasure, as always. Really enjoyed those shots of the meadow - but what's the Welsh for cow parsley?
From what I can gather Kris, it's "gorthyfail", which is the Welsh for Chervil
Another fantastic video. Thanks and as always another place for me to visit next time this southern Welsh lad is up North. Keep the great videos coming mate
Cheers. Glad you enjoyed it Robert.
Brilliant, beautiful, and with a glimpse into your personal life. Diolch yn fawr, fel wastad Will.

You're welcome little Jimbo :)
Well that was a beautiful idyllic walk, very nicely filmed and interesting. Loved that piece of music, what's the name of the song, such lovely vocals I thought. Great video, thanks for your work, most appreciated🌻🌳
Glad you liked it Celest. I'll let you into a little secret. That song was my first experiment with an AI music creating site. You basically give it some prompts, describing the sort of music you want, and maybe a couple of lyrics, and it will produce a couple of attempts. You then choose one of them, make a couple of tweaks, then rinse and repeat a couple of times until you are happy with the track. I'm trying to get it to produce Welsh lyrics now :)
@@WillHuw I'm impressed....a new career beckons 🙂🎶
Enjoyed that Will nicely done! :)

Glad you enjoyed it Barbara. Thanks for watching.
I couldn't imagine being in the man's shoes. Going from 1 pain to another.
Horrific thought isn't it?
I've start by trying to memorise the pronunciation of the Welsh alphabet so that I can hopefully pronounce Welsh language when I see it even if I don't know the meaning. So now during the day I try to keep repeating the words I'm learning here in my thinking . I did notice that the name Will Huw transposed Huw Will ,the Welsh for fun 😄
Huw Will - I see what you did there :)
Ok thank you, starting now.
All the best
😭
Sad tale.
Beautiful...and thanks again for new ideas in the area, taking the effort to showing us around!!
My pleasure 😊 Thanks for watching
this is about hour drive from me been here many times apparently its a true story .even though we dont get wolves over here now i do believe some years back the clwydian mountains did once have wolves roaming ....anyway why go out and leave a baby unattended .no ones fault but his really .
It's certainly a genuine old Celtic legend, now owned forever by Beddgelert.
If it was some POS who killed his dog I'd just be mad. Yet I have no feeling of evil in the man's heart. Only panic and blind fear for the worst. That's what makes this so damn powerful. It's that the man isn't evil or bad and did love his dog. So you can feel that sinking feeling. It's that moment of realizing that hits and should teach us to always think and be sure before making choices.
Absolutely.
Oes fersion cymraeg?
Sori. Dw i ddim ond dysgwr, ac ddim yn digon o rhugl i wneud hynny hyd yn hyn. Un diwrnod effalle :)

Ardderchog (Excellent!)
Dam, that was tough ngl 😢
A sad tale indeed..
Well there’s a thing. I recognised the starting place immediately as just over 12 months ago I went to Prestatyn with it being on the so-called Sunshine Coast, using the coastal train. I want to walk up that same hill and I walked about 2 miles beyond where your phone packed up. The weather was fine for my walk too. Keep up the good work, Will.
Cheers. Thanks for watching Gwil
