John Rowlands was born in Denbigh in 1841. Despite a very poor childhood and an appalling upbringing, in adult life he became world famous - under another name.
Some regard him as a hero, others as a manipulative psychopath. Follow my journey in this video and decide for yourself.

Wow... very interesting, together with the now-to-be-expected (but never taken for granted) excellent filming. And yes, I also saw the ghoul.

Glad you enjoyed it! The ghoul was a little allusion to the fact that the local population consider that location (Goblin tower), to be haunted :)

I love this stuff. I'm a Jones with southern Welsh roots on my father's side, but my mother's Williams and Watkins came from Denbighshire, specifically Llangollen.

That great view must have enspired the young boy who would travel the great world beyond those hills in later life to make his fortune
