Those of you who follow this# channel will know that I have been trying to learn Welsh (Cymraeg), for... well, EVER!
At present, I'm using the Duolingo phone app - No, this isn't a paid promotion, I just like the app. The Duolingo app comes in two flavours, a paid for version, and a free version - I'm using the free version :)
In this series, I thought that I would take you, one by one, through all of the practice sessions, from the very beginning, up to my present level, explaining my thought processes as I do so.
No, I won't always get it right, but when I do go wrong, at least you'll know how I got there :)

Yes, It's excellent ( Gwych) ;)
I've been using the paid for Duolingo app for about 18 months, i like it although I wish it started with more general chit chat type sentences. Sometimes the sentences are a bit weird, like no I don't want a purple cat 🤣

I'm just on to telling people I bought my parsnips in England tonight 😅 I find learning the language so hard but I've been promising myself I'd start for 30 years so at least I've finally got going with it!

I've already got 3 green cats
Do you know why "yn" is not used in connection with the verb noun "eisiau"? Just curious!

I'll be honest with you Terrence, I don't :(

Hi! I thought about this weird thing too. That's what I found on Wiktionary about word eisiau: "Because eisiau is a noun, it does not use yn with bod and has no stem, meaning it must be used periphrastically." Really curious thing!
