Welsh with Will 5 - Duolingo. Dysgu Siarad Cymraeg
I now have a Patreon page. If you would like to get more out of the channel and support it at the same time, please check out my page here: tinyurl.com/2p83nkje
Those of you who follow this channel will know that I have been trying to learn Welsh (Cymraeg), for... well, EVER!
At present, I'm using the Duolingo phone app - No, this isn't a paid promotion, I just like the app. The Duolingo app comes in two flavours, a paid for version, and a free version - I'm using the free version :)
In this series, I thought that I would take you, one by one, through all of the practice sessions, from the very beginning, up to my present level, explaining my thought processes as I do so.
No, I won't always get it right, but when I do go wrong, at least you'll know how I got there :)

To remember what Monday is in Welsh, think Monday is named after the moon, then think of the word "lunar", pertaining to the moon (via Latin) from where Welsh got its word "llun".

Nos Fawrth (soft mutation) because "nos" is feminine? (as in many other European languages). Interesting that the names of the week are based on the old Roman gods in Welsh, not the germanic gods or even ancient Celtic gods. Mawrth = Mars, god of war, germanic equivalent "Tyr" from where we get "Tuesday" in English.
