My FIRST EVER VISIT to Aberystwyth!

Today we are back to adventuring as I explore the Welsh coastal town of Aberystwyth for the very first time! Aberystwyth is somewhere I have always wanted to visit and no time like the present to take that opportunity to do so!

A tip for when you travel on the Cambrian line, and you have boarded the train before reaching Shrewsbury and you do not want to have to change carriages when arriving at Machynlleth. If you're heading to Aberystwyth then if boarding the train before getting to Shrewsbury, then you need to be in the back two carriages. because when you leave Shrewsbury those back carriages, will become the front carriages. (the train reverses out), as the platform is not a forward on . Therefore you are now in the front carriages, and so you will not have to move when the train arrives in Machynlleth which is where the train splits. Now if you are on the train before Shrewsbury and your destination is Pwllheli, then you need to be in the front carriages heading in to Shrewsbury station, as when the train departs, you are therefore in the back two carriages which when you arrive in Machynlleth you will be in the correct carriages for heading towards (north of Wales) Pwllheli. I know this sounds confusing. But do not worry, as the conductor will go up and down the carriages asking each person where they are traveling to and direct you to the correct carriage if needs be. This Is done after e the trains separated while in the station. If your boarding the train at Shrewsbury, then its simple front carriages to Aberystwyth, Back two carriages to Pwllheli😁ps Great video Ash👍

The colourful houses on the Welsh coast are down to fishermen. They used to paint their houses in prominent colours so they could point them out to their shipmates when they were coming back in to the bay to land their catch. Quite interesting really. I believe the traditional spreads across the British coast and that's why the majority of fishing towns/villages have colorful houses (hence a lot of Wales/UK seaside towns being referenced as balamory)

Ah: you missed the university about another 400 yards up that steep main road. Thought you could've made it to the funicular railway, just off the front from the Glendower: that's a great visit. And how can you go to Aberystwyth and not have an ice-cream cone?! Nice video though. I wanna go again having watched this! 🍦
