"I made the wings a bit too small..." <shrugs> It's a custom job! Plus, this is Star Wars. The entire universe was kitbashed! You make a mistake on a model? Big deal! Put a patch to cover a scratch or incorporate the "mispaint" into the paint job. Like 99.99% of the audience will know! LOL Also, those cars that attempted the supersonic landspeed records were 'kitbashed' with retired military jet engines. Do you think those jet engines were ever intended to be used with CARS to set supersonic speed records on land?!?

There were limited amounts of TIE Interceptors produced as escorts for Emperor Palpatine or Admirals and Moffs equipped with upgraded engines, light-duty shield projectors, and small concussion missile launchers. They showed up later in TIE Fighter's story campaign during Admiral Zaarin's insurrection against the Empire.

I always liked Baron Soontir Fell's 101st TIE Interceptor Squadron. The blood stripes set them apart from the rest of the expendable Imps. Need some markings for all of Marek Steele's TIEs, including the Defender. You felt like you were in his ace shoes in TIE Fighter, that's how old I am. I'm still disappointed nobody's tried to make a good 1/72 TIE Avenger, Defender, Alpha-Class Gunboat, or Sigma-Class Missile boat. Those were the opposite of most Imp fighters and bombers. They had shields, hyperdrives, and warhead launchers. Quality over quantity. Strategos Smurf/ Admiral Thrawn came up with the TIE Defender because he thought it was a waste to put Imperial aces in glorified coffins.

Interesting model, it could be very useful, IF re-issued, for conversions and scratchbuild. Now the pilots could be replaced by others bought from other producers or outright 3D printed. Plus it could be build as an exploration vessel, with more detailed (3D printed) interior and replacing the interceptor with a remote controlled drone.

Great project! Yep, I've long assumed the 'Falcon was a cargo pusher as well. The fork and offset cockpit make the most sense that way. Also, having strangers call it a piece of junk implies it was incomplete, or being used by Han in a nonstandard way. Like someone who's driving around town in a beat-up (but very fast) tractor! And it's not as awkward as it might seem, the Falcon would just be serving as the booster for a 'rocket' full of cargo, in a sense. Pulling the load would actually be more complicated in space, since the engine exhaust would be pointed at the cargo. In space without wind resistance, pushing the load would become just a matter of keeping the craft's trajectory steady. I was sad that this aspect of the concept (even if only implied) was misunderstood or ignored in *Solo*.

In X-Wing Alliance, all the Corellian freighters could tug cargo containers when using the docking claw. The Falcon's recess is a feature on the YT-1300, which enables it to push a cargo container as well. Han Solo has a warhead launcher hidden in his push coupler recess if you've ever seen the ship's cross-section.

All the way back to 1977, my canon is that the Falcon had two escape pods, one on either side, where the two round "holes" are at the end of the corridors. Of course as stated in Star Wars, the ship was missing its escape pods.

No matter where the cockpit is you will only ever see half. Even terrestrial pusher tugs can only see the half above the water line. Unlike in space the radar could see the opposite side as well as back fine and a simple 180 degree roll would give you a physical view if you so desired
