@EagleScifiModeler would the white plastic be clear enough for light to shine through the chiller grill on the nacelle so that one doesn't have to hog out that plastic so it can sort of act as a diffuser?

StarTrek model kits are never popular in Indonesia, unlike Gundams. Thus hard to find. Even if someone does sell it, it will be way expensive, like over USD100.

There all over the place in the USA.

Did they ever do a clear plastic version of this? I know AMT/ERTL released clear versions of the Enterprise-D and Deep Space Nine. The consensus for many modelers that light the kits was that clear plastic was better because it was easier to scrape off the paint to let the lights show than drilling the holes. Another thing they did with the Revell TOS Enterprise was leave the windows open for lighting and provide clear plastic inserts. I guess companies just don't want to do more back-engineering and revising older kits to make things simpler.

Not that I know of. I think it's not really necessary for a model to be clear, the white plastic is quite translucent.

@@EagleSciFiModeler Trekworks did a build of this kit and he didn't have to drill out for the windows. That is how clear the white parts were when he was done with it.

I don't think they have I know they're going to issue the Enterprise d but I think that one's going to be In that transparent white Like the voyager A clear version with this of this Kit would be nice

They also reissued the Enterprise C in translucent plastic as well. I have the D and I did a couple of reviews of it on my channel. First one was the unboxing and the second was a side by side of the translucent kit and the opaque kit.

This thing just didn't want to cooperate with you, did it? haha
