Nice work. A ship I’m not familiar with. Now I’m interested. Mission accomplished. Thank you.

Thank you!
Excellent job. This ship had no appeal for me back in the day, but you really brought it to life. Coating the decals with spay varnish may prevent the cracking. Also a kit when firms still did big models for esoteric subjects.

Thank you! The kit had its challenges but was a lot of fun to build!
Absolutely Fantastic!!!

Thanks buddy!
Came out pretty nice, like the painting and the lighting the magnet idea for the pod even attaching it would have been better. Can’t see the marker lights very well might have just been the camera. Great job still.

Thanks! The marker lights aren't as bright as I'd hoped...but they are there.
Back in the 90s, I scratch built a full interior out of styrene, with lighting front and back compartment. It took weeks of drawing and planning cutting and assembly using video recordings from DS9 and the only view of the back from STNG episode Timescape! It came out great and I used mini Christmas lights inside and a DC transformer to power it. I have thought about opening it up and replacing them with LEDs but not sure if it’s worth it.

I thought about building an interior but decided just to focus on the exterior.
Great build excellent job on explaining everything step by step. I think you are right about the old kits maybe giving them a wash before assembly. A friend of mine would also use a Brillo nonabrasive flat green pad during the wash ..he said it helps give the paint something to stick to not sure if it works.

This turned out awesome. All the lighting affects really bring it to life. Where did you purchase the flasher/ flicker control ? Do you know if it works with only 12 volts or can it be used with a lower voltage? Thanks for sharing.

I noticed you have a bandage on you... Blood tests? I had those done recently! Anyway, nice to see you still enjoy the hobby but I would like to express concerns about the 3-D printing. I already expressed these concerns to Boyd (TrekWorks) so sorry if I sound like a broken record! Please, be sure you have adequate ventilation or a hood to disperse the fumes outside -- just as you should for spray painting or any kind of paint that produces poisonous ketones. Please, don't touch the resin until it's dried and is solid. I've heard of people getting sick from handling other types of resins (2-part expoxy glue, resin used for molding and sculptures). I even heard of one guy dying at age 35 because he handled resin ALL the time for art projects without being vigilant about safety!!!

Just a boo boo...lol. I wear gloves and keep the room ventilated. I'm in the process of moving all of the printing stuff to my out building.
Can you please tell me the name of the mount and where to order it? Thanks!
