Great job as always. I think your the first person to light the engines on this kit. Using your left over Bandai stickers added some nice detail. People turn their noses up when they hear stickers but I've found they are a really good quality.

Tamiya Haze Grey makes great TIE Blue, too.

This looks nice! One thing I might suggest is for you to look into getting some Oyumaru if you are not familiar with it. It's plastic putty. You can use it to get molds from pieces. Clear would be best, for using with UV resin. It also comes in a translucent white, which can be used for making light pipes. That's what I thought of when I saw you using that clear piece for the cockpit instrumentation panel.

@@EagleSciFiModeler Be careful with any resins, glue, or putty you use. Some of this stuff is highly toxic. There have been people who used clear resin for projects for years who died from the fumes because they didn't wear masks and didn't work in well-ventilated spaces! They developed cancer from exposure. Some of these people died by their mid-30s! I see new videos of people coming forward who got sick from using clear resins for molding because they didn't take the warnings seriously! When I use plumber's weld (aka QuikSteel, Plastic Weld, etc.), I don't handle it barehanded. I always wear disposable neoprene gloves rather than handling that putty barehanded. You can get a rash or worse from handling it without gloves. Wonderful stuff for repairing "boo boo" cuts in various plastics (ABS, fiberglass), plugging bad drill holes (up to 24mm in my case) with scrap plastic, or reinforcing the insides for thin wills and screw support struts. Otherwise, a complete bear to handle because of the gloves and how that stuff likes to stick to neoprene! I don't use 2-part epoxy glue that much other than the times I need stronger bonds that will hold, otherwise I use far less toxic things like crazy glue and hot glue gun glue. (

Nice that you use some craft paints with good results. Too many people say that they dont work for models. I use them regularly.

Vallejo White Grey is great for Rebel fighters. Learned that from watching Modelchili Sam.

This isn't too bad a model. I got it a couple of years ago and was surprised. There's not much choice for this ship. I also got the Bandai set that comes with the "pointy" TIE fighter and little tanks but it's still in my stash. The sound and light thing is annoying. I just took out the batteries and filled around the button, speaker and battery compartment. The U wing is one of my favourite Star Wars ships along with the Y And B wings and the Razor Crest. They're the only good thing that's come from Disney SW IMHO.

$5.50 for a pot of Mr. Hobby Cement? Somebody went to Hobby Lobby, I'm surprised at what Hobby supplies they carry now.

Did you use 18-2 twisted pair since you only had a 3V power supply? I'm literally drowning in that stuff at work. It's standard fire alarm cable in the electrical trade. 😅
