I was catching up with a few of your videos I didn't get a chance to watch. Left a comment you will probably never see. 😮 😊 The comment pertained to hornworms if you come across it sometime. Anyway, when I was watching your beet harvest I was thinking you could make beet powder too. That is pretty expensive in the stores. Now I have a question about your fig cloning. Before you wrapped the area that you want to root, did you make any cuts in or even remove any of the outside bark?? You have a wonderful garden. Do you eat carrots?? If so, you could grow some. They taste a lot better than the store bought ones. I take off the tops when harvesting. If left on the tops take the sugar out of the carrots. Dehydrate or freeze dry the tops and powder. You have great gardening ideas. We all learn from each other. (I sent you the zucchini pollinating idea with using the male flower instead of the little paint brush or Q-tip.) I've learned many ideas starting seeds and good varieties to grow. Thanks.

We bought 2 black light flashlights. It's actually a regular flashlight with a black light on it also. We go out after dark and shine the black light on the garden plants. The hornworms light up a neon green. They are very easy to see. Sometimes they are under the leaves so we make sure to check all around the plants. Stink bugs light up nicely too. We have also found other type caterpillars, larvae, and a grasshopper. I dont think the black light affects them as much so they don't try to hide. Just a suggestion to find bugs easier. 😊

Your corn looks amazing. I miss growing Silver queen. It was sooo much better when you could harvest my own compared to anything at the store. Farmers market is okay though as long as its bubbys backyard sweet.

Get some chicken wire and cut a 3-4 foot long section, then cut that into long strips, if you cut across the middle of a circle on each side leaving the middle wire and you basically make a long spikey strip of barbed wire, then you the weave pieces threw your fencing where you see them climbing, Racoon's have strong but soft hands like us, they don't like touching pokey things, I also use solar motion lights they like the dark and don't care for being lit up by 10 spotlights blinding them. i also use a 2 stage fence system, Deer also do not like 2 stage fencing because the want a clear area over the fence to land when they jump , if a second fence is close within about 3 feet they think they can't land so they won't jump the first fence.
