And poof...garden season is done. Those deer sure did give you a dirty look.... funny. I don't know how much that small area rug cost, but it is priceless to Squeak. Just a bit more cleanup and you and the garden can have a nice rest. Great year!

We got the same 1st frost/freeze down here in SC. You could be growing broccoli and brussel sprouts through the winter. I've always wondered why you don't grow any of the various broccolis. So good! Steamed, cooked in soups, raw on salads. Cooked with butter and a squeeze of lemon. Yum. There's nothing like a hearty thick broccoli soup in the winter months. Doulbe yum! Also, I highly recommend frost blankets when the temps dip below 35 degrees. I use two layers usually on my brassicas and two on my lettuces with an added light cotten blanket over the top. With my lettuces, I push pvc hoops into the soil to keep the weight off the leaves/heads. We love all the wild critters on your critter cam.

Agreed, He has already too much peppers in his freezer (as seen 3:17) so yes he should grow other vegetables on his pepper raised beds that he never grown before like cabbage, broccoli, arugula, strawberries, carrots, spinach, leek, onion, pumpkins, etc
