  I am currently in Year 12 studying Mathematics Edexcel A-Levels as a private candidate. I was wondering if the maths Extended Project Qualification was mandatory in order to complete the maths a level, or if it is just a choice to do that option.

  if you did gcse further maths do you think i will struggle with a level further maths without having done gcse further maths? im predicted a 9 in normal gcse maths and i think i got that in my exams.

  personally no not at all - the stuff in gcse further maths builds some supports for a level maths, but none for further maths. the FM a-level content will be, for the majority, completely separate from anything you've seen prior. also if you're predicted (and you're gonna get) a 9 then i'm sure you'll smash it

  hey! i hope all your exams went well! i guess you have two options you can either do some gentle revision now and throughout the holidays to remind yourself (you'll probably remember more than you think) or you can refresh your gcse content as you go along working your way through the a-level. tbh probably best tactic is that you could just do a week or two of reasonably internsive recap right before you start again to both get your brain back into the working mindset and get most of it back in your mind :)

  I bombed my cs paper 1 asw man. Time management was horrible. The absolute max marks I can get is like 75/100 so the A* for me is out of reach. I'd need a miracle in paper 2

  congrats on getting into the academy wow!! if you can afford i would defo get the maths textbook early and maybe work though all of the chapters to take your notes ahead of time (luckily with maths there isn't loads of content that needs to be written down) so that when it comes to learning it in class you can focus on just doing as many exercises as you can
