So in a world where the value of a dollar is shrinking. Why is it that the value of a motorcycle manufacturer's product only goes up at 5 times the rate of inflation? They have said it themselves that they want to be a premium brand only. Okay... so you have priced yourself out of business for most folks on the bikes in the first place, then service costs are way unrealistic. Cutting all the lower cost product line (that was over priced too). Good luck with that!
I agree with you,BROTHER
I will agree they were very expensive for what they do specially service jobs. I will do my own as soon as mine goes out of warranty because you go to a bike show you can get this stuff done for half and they do just as good job at the bike shows.
I would never buy a Harley Davidson bike again these bikes are total junk Japanese bikes are way better and if you're stubborn to buy American buy an Indian their far better bikes.harley needs to go under.goodbye Harley Davidson junk.
love the video man. 2 things: 1) easy on us 55 year old, almost retired guys, that have worked hard like you to have a little extra 4! haha 2) all dealers (car, bike, etc) suck... buy a bike and do your own service. Good luck man! T
'FAST' is overrated. People are paying for performance they'll never get close to using. As for the practicality of a scooter - bikes can't get close. I currently ride a bike, but I'm being drawn ever closer to the scoot world. Probably the ADV 350. We'll see...
Experience in a car is no comparison to riding a bike. I’ve been riding since I was 10 years old. I wouldn’t recommend it to new older rider’s.
But a Harley they said come too Honda they then went
Stupid kickstand lol feels the same on the 2022 model
i wonder if i could get the dealership to knock off $1500?
With respect, I understand your frustration. My Harley dealer is small and I have had great service. Family business. The larger Harley dealership, closer to me, gave me bad vibes, arrogant sales babe, and I walked out. And no, I am not pulling a brother stuff, I would be pissed as well. I am the type to say little to the sales person, normally they don't care, but I will spread the news with glee. And I change brands.
Harley knows just about every Harley owner is a sucker
Thanks for the video. Today is my first MSF 101 day. I watched your video before heading over there, I appreciate the breakdown and overview of day 1 fundamentals... : )
Put your money where your mouth is and dump your bike. Sounds like you have plenty of money to burn.
That's why I got a ninja zx Turing, I seen to many of my harley friends get completely fuck at the dealer. The bike breaks down all the time and are old looking. 45,000 miles on my ninja and no trouble at all. Every time we went riding someone's Harleys broke down. Fuck Harleys.
Yep got rid of mine for that reason. And bought 2 Japanese bikes, cruiser and a sportbike. Now have no problems with Harley service department long wait time to get bike back and service cost is so much more reasonable.
I just bought the 2024 version of this bike and like the last post I couldn't afford a porche and a bike havnt been on one since I was 17 and I'm loving it!!! It's an f for me the fun factor!!
And I want to say I started with this new bike on the dirt it handles great
Worst part of owning a Harley, is the dealerships . Rip you off at every turn .
Well why would anyone buy a Hardly abelson anyway
Gone back too bikes at 63 Ducati v2 street fighter am I too old
LOL...... I own a BMW and think you are getting away cheap !
For me glider flying is more therapeutic...... Which also leans into the turns
Made it worse life s because of all the karens feminists and all the other attacks ...... A roman ran out of the Starbucks and tried to grab my handlebars because she hates men........ It really didn't change much of my life
Change it sooner in my opinion, just did mine at 400 and was amazed how dirty it was. 🤓
What does the battery look like
Theyre made in China these days, get a triumph or indian
I love the mids on my street bob. Although the brake pedal is too flat. I bought an adjustable li N k so I could fine tune the pedal height
For the amount of dough harley charges, the finish is supercrappy
Get a prepaid maintenance program and everything is covered! Best 1300 bucks I ever spent! 3 years 25000 miles everything paid....
Cant blame your nephew for getting that scout. Those are some sexy bikes.
I answered the question and it wanted me to fill out a form
I started at 52. With hindsight I was lucky to get through those first couple of months but now I have more than 200K miles under my belt.
I just my MSF class done and found a nice used vulcan s this was very helpful! Thanks
Got a 2022 model, didn't buy it under the illusion i was buying some sort of mx or enduro bike, bought it fully understanding what it is and as far as I'm concerned it's fantastic and i love riding it as it is and have never felt the need to make any changes to it at all. Good honest review.
A small scarf will help with the neck situation. Enjoy
Dude you should have got a full estimate on paper first then they can't change the price on you it seems like almost anywhere there are a lot of custom shops that specialize in working on Harley-Davidsons you may be better off going with them check out reviews on their website
LOL! I couldn’t help but laugh at the “Brother!” part. 😂
I’ll take a personally maintained bike used over a dealer bike any day. A lot of older rider cared far more for their bikes more than any dealership or new manufacturer.
I think vehicles see bikes more than people think because..cars just blend in with other cars but a smaller object catches the eye. Kinda like seeing a dog or animal in the road and definitely would spot a turtle quickly
Will my feet touch if im 5'3"?
It doesn't matter what factory brand it is to me. All stock bikes are just a starting point to strip and chop. That's the American way in my opinion. Ever seen a Ducati motor in a rigid chopper frame with fatbobs and a mile high sissy bar bent out of round stock? 😎 Choppers for Life.
Funfact: Svartpilen means Black Arrow in Swedish, Vitpilen is White Arrow....
The throttle issue is just lack of experience guys, ride a high powered bike with cams etc and that's normal
Exactly why I have never owned one. Glad Kawasaki still makes cruisers. Love my Kawasaki Voyager
Thanks for the video. I'm only 5'7" and I test rode a softail standard today and felt really cramped. Legs were bent too much and my knees felt too high. I'm thinking about forward controls. I was wondering what your height and inseam measurements are. I don't know if I'd have difficulty reaching the forwards. I'm 5'7" with a 29" inseam. Any feedback you can provide would be appreciated. thanks
78 years am I. Riding my Honda 50 Sport, a string of piglets following the sow crossed in front of me ...... couldn't miss 'em all, hit one and went down with my new two week old 1/2 helmet kachining on the asphalt. Replaced the front fork and at 16 just kept on riding. (they came from behind a fence so I do not take blame for that one) At 18, on my '65 Honda 305 Super Hawk, making a right turn into rush hour traffic onto freshly rained on old slick pavement, of course the back end fishtailed and I went down in front of a school bus. Only minor damage but it was my fault being in traffic after a new rain. On my CX500 Deluxe I missed a corner on gravel and flew into an irrigation ditch. Had to dry myself out and have the Honda gone through. My fault. I had a 175 Kawasaki enduro and a 225 Yamaha XT. Down on each of those more than once ..... they were Dirt Bikes? At present I have the old urge to ride once again. Hoping that past events have taught me a bit, I have on order a '24 Kymco CV3. I admit that I have some trouble with balance, the eyes have some effect of aging, and I don't hear so good. I do not know how I got the wife's permission, but she used to ride in the Phillipines. She is younger by twenty years and I think she is already thinking about the joy of riding. She found a used helmet at a garage sale, so that's a sign. The CV3, as you may know is a front wheeled tricycle for balance, has a CVT as one less thing to think about and reviews say they have very good brakes and handling. I have not spun a tire on pavement for fifty years. I drove truck for 30 years with a motto of "pay attention, pay attention and PAY ATTENTION." I take that with me as good signs for safe riding ahead.
First, you’re a grown ass man and you did not get an estimate in writing for work on scotty, the bike. The dealer should have the exact pricing on part replacement since it is their part and their bike and their mechanics. So you should’ve known the price within a couple of dollars. So pay attention and ask questions before you assume anything. Especially price on anything done at a dealer. 2nd. to be clear you bought a Harley Davidson, which stands for pay out the ass. That motorcycle is a status. It has nothing to do with two wheel enjoyment so get over yourself. Pay your bills and shut your mouth.😊
Nice bike ! I got the fat bob in that dark grey color .
Next time buy a Honda you fucking racist.
I don't blame you. I have owned several Harley Davidson's. And I can honestly tell you. The dealerships only want your money. I've learned to do my own maintenance. 🥸🇺🇸
