I just turned 70 last November. I had tons of motorcycles, still have two. A 2010 Bonnie and a 2021 CRF300L Rally. I purchased my first scooter last July, a Suzuki Burgman 400. What a blast! I should have purchased a scooter a long time ago. I just purchased an ADV 150 today. I'm loving scooters at this stage of my life. Everyone should have at least one scooter in their garage.

I just became interested in riding this spring. I am attracted to everything about scooters that turn most people off. Slower, quite, good mileage, etc... Ended up getting a Honda Navi and a Honda ADV 150 this year. Loving them both!

Scoots are great you should try a maxi 250 and up burgman and kymcos take the cake for maxis in my opinion for a kymco grandvista 250 rn and love it to death it's quick too nice to have the extra power a little on the expensive side but you can find used ones with low miles for less than a new adv 150

I live in the Philippines. Scooters and small 110cc - 250cc bikes are the most common mode of transportation here. I will be buying the new Honda ADV 160 soon. I opted for the ADV over the PCX for higher ground clearance because the roads are rough here. I am opting for the scooter instead of a standard manual transmission bike because I haven't ridden a motorcycle in about 45 years and not having to deal with a clutch, shifter and a rear foot brake will minimise my learning curve. There are less expensive scooters available here, but I believe the reliability of the Honda will pay off in the long run.

I appreciate you I've had over 60 motorcycle, s in my lifetime and never a scooter now I have three of them a kymco 150 like a hond adv 150 and a bmw c400gt now my whole family 👪 can ride with grandpa thank you for your honest my friend!!!

Over 60, Jesus Christ! That's a special kind of love you have there for motorcycles. I admire that dedication. I personally find motorcycles too loud and bulky, but I love bicycles and the concept of a 150cc scooter.

Just got my ADV150!!! Went to go get groceries with it, and it was very nice. First time rider here. Watching these videos kept me excited! Thanks for the reviews!

I put about 2k miles on mine since I bought mine at the end of February. Rode it home on snow covered roads in 27 degree weather. The bike handles far better than my Grom. Hardly even use the Grom anymore. The Adv 150 is so much more capable and versatile in every way.

I appreciate your videos, I just Subscribed, I was able to actually buy a 2022 Honda ADV150 used from a fella that bought it new and just wasn’t using it much. 200 miles on it!

I own a couple of motorcycles 850+ cc’s, but also ride a 150cc Genuine Scooter Stella (LML Star in the rest of the world). I enjoy my Vespa clone, and could care less what people think. It is, and has been dependable transportation that is very fuel efficient. Granted, four stroke engines are quieter, and more efficient, but I still love my scooter. People think we’re crazy when we ride scooters in full gear… like 60 mph on a scooter hurts less than 60 mph on a motorcycle when something happens.

Ik some idiot said something to me at a gas station today like why are you in full gear on a scooter lmfao well number 1 it's raining number 2 it's a maxi so I can do 100 on this thing and because a 30 mph slide hurts no matter what your on

Still loving my ‘21 Monkey. Just filled up at am averaging about 128mpg. Only 4 mile commute to work, so definitely a great option over my car.

Nice, I'm in Thailand and you can't move for scooters. The Honda Click seems to be the most popular model (125cc @ $1450, or 160 cc @$1800), whilst the ADV150 is a lot more expensive at $2800. The Yamaha Aerox 155 seems to be more popular than the Honda, most likely because it's similar but $500 to $800 cheaper. As you can expect the second hand market is huge, and can easily pick up a decent scooter for under a grand. Great video (I'm trying to decide what to buy - Aerox, ADV, or Yamaha XMR155 motorbike, I don't really need anything bigger than that :)

$2800 would be dirt cheap for a new Honda ADV 150 in the United States. I would pay $4000 if I could even find one. I live in Hawai'i, and the only scooters you can find brand new here are Vespa, Piaggio and Sym. Honda just doesn't sell as many scooters in the U.S. and Canada as they do in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Europe. These places literally get the latest models BEFORE Japan, which is mind-blowing considering Honda is a Japanese company. 🛵🤯🗾

It's great that you are a Scooter guy, I also have multiple bikes and an ADV150. You need to move out of the BOONIES. I am in Chicagoland and there are 100's of Scooters available for sale. All makes and manufacturers, from 50cc to 650cc. Dealers here will cut a break for relocating Scooters across the country. Call them and negotiate.

I picked up a 23 Honda Navi in August after turning my suv lease in . It’s my only vehicle now and I’m loving it .

I love my 2011 PCX125, I live in western Washington so I ride all year round with the help of a bit of rain gear, so I would really appreciate the luxury of a Suzuki Burgman, BMW 650GT or Kymco AK550 just so I could get properly heated grips and a heated seat, but in the summer and spring it is hard to argue with my little PCX125. A bit more power would be nice, I am not sure how big of a jump in power the move from 125 to 150ccs was but mine won't get past 62 mph. I have logged thousands of miles on it in the last 5 years and it is by far the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned.

Comparing my ADV 150 to my Monkey with a 125, the ADV has quite a bit more power. It’s perfect for everything but highway use.

I put 12000km on my Honda scooter. Awesome machine. Topping off at the pumps is cheap as chips. Parking is a breeze. Scooters are unrated.

My area in the NE is full of the Harley big boys, so when I got my bike I was doubting whether I made the right choice. I decided on the Yamaha XMAX and could not be happier. Being older, I wanted the auto trans (CVT) to eliminate the clutch. I get a lot of compliments on my bike! 2 Harley guys checked it out and said they loved it and the concept of it. The problem is everything is plentiful in Europe, but not here in the USA. Lots of teens buz around here with the small scooters. where are you located? the Bergman makes a 200, 400 & 650. I heard the 650 is discontinued now.

I have a Suzuki DR650 and a Yamaha TW200 and have been riding for many years, I personally like scooters very much even though I don't own one and have never purchased one. They are belt-driven with a CVT transmission (yes the CVT transmission was first invented for scooters and has been around longer than Automatic Transmissions have been in cars) and the maintenance on them is very low, no need to account for chain stretch or lubrication. I also like the fact that scooters generally have much more storage than a regular motorcycle, and scooters generally have a molded fairing with a windshield which many regular motorcycles don't have. Scooters are great, they are motorcycles no matter what someone who just got their motorcycle license last week and ran down to the Harley dealer to live out their Easy Rider fantasies tells you. For many people in the world they are a much-loved and cared for primary means of transportation. Good luck with yours. Great video!

I think I got the Buy of a Lifetime! A coworker had a 2012 Honda Silverwing, that he was willing to sell me...and I'm coming from a Yamaha FJR1300 mind you...I asked my friend how many miles were on the Wing...he said 330...in Showroom condition to boot...it is hands down the most comfortable Bike I've ever ridden in 40+ years of riding...and she'll hold 75 to 80 mph all day long. Please don't be mad at me, sold @ $4,500...

I ride a ‘22 Supercub 125, I have a 40 mile round trip daily commute and it does just fine. I think my next purchase will be a Vespa GTS300 HPE in the future. (Just because it’s a bucket list item for me) My son rides a ‘22 Ruckus and it gets him back and forth to school school just fine. He’s got a 6 mile country highway commute. We’ve even taken our rides to a motorcycle meet up. No one gave us crap. Sure they probably laughed a bit but.. hey ride your ride and smile

2020 I picked up a KYMCO People S200 with 1200 miles on it. I have a Honda VT1300 Interstate and a Honda GL1100 Goldwing. KYMCO's are made in Taiwan! KYMCO has made engines for HONDA sine the 60's! My son has the KYMCO Venox 250 that gets 70mpg and will hit 105mph...

Driving a 5000 pound vehicle to carry a 200 pound man to work everyday just doesn't make good ecomical sense!

150cc scooters can be gateway drugs... I started on one, rode for 6mths, got a 250cc motorcycle and now 4mths into that I'm itching for a 500cc+ motorcycle, and I'm 54. Where will it all end?

It'll end with a 150cc scooter again when you get old. I started out on scooters 55 years ago, went through many bikes up to a Goldwing but now back on a 170cc scooter.

I was in the market for a new scooter, but nobody had the ones I wanted, so ended up finding a 2015 Honda PCX with 790 miles on it for $2200 on craigslist plus taxes and fees. $2400 total. So supply issues ended up saving me money. I could buy another scooter with the savings and have 2 scooters that won't lose much value. New is nice but used can work out too.

I’ve been riding my Grom to work every day since the end of April. 130mpg. Love the money I’m saving on gas but I need something bigger. I’ll grab a 300cc in November and sell my Grom next spring. If I was gonna get a scooter I’d get a Vespa 150.

Honda needs to remake the 250cc helix Maxi scooter. Perfect for everyday use

the suzuki burgman 200 is a great bike. 85 mpg and can hit the highway. I'm 6ft 240 and it tops out at almost 90 with me. Still small enough and nimble

I am strongly considering a Burg 200 as my next bike. Really going back and forth between it and the 400 which seems like a good all around bike. While it loses in gas mileage to the 200, the 400 seems to do well as a touring bike.

Hello I really enjoyed this video. I definitely agree with what you said about scooter culture being different in the US. I feel like theres always this pressure to get a bigger bike, no matter what the needs of the user are. I was wondering if I could ask a question; Im a new/beginner rider and was considering purchasing a bike like this (150cc Honda ADV) for a commute to school. Would a commute on a scooter like this on these types of roads be practical for around 30 miles/50min-1 hour? There is a highway interstate route that is about 10 minutes shorter, but I am not sure if I really have any interest highway riding on a bike, which is why im considering a 150 instead of a 300. Im considering purchasing a scooter just as a stop gap until I can afford a car. LMK what you think!

Great vid, I agree with you that scooters have a bad rep and it’s very unfortunate. One misconception with buying a scooter (or any vehicle for that matter) to save on fuel is most people don’t actually figure the numbers, for example I bought my Burgman 200 for the purpose of commuting to work to save on gas compared to my truck and to also keep miles off of my truck, I have a 66mile commute round trip, I also got a great deal on it, $2800 and it was practically new with only 1k miles on it, but if I sell it for a loss (of any amount) before I’ve put around 22,000 miles on it, then it actually never saved me a dime because it never paid for its self in savings. I work with a lot of guys with similar commutes and some of them buy 6k dollar Honda civics with 200k miles on them to save on gas and the truth is it won’t save them anything in the long run. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have a fuel saver vehicle but the reason for having it shouldn’t be money savings alone. I still have yet to see a adv in person, very scarce in my area. Very true. It really only saves money if you already own something more fuel efficient, or sell a less efficient vehicle for one that is. I see a LOT of people on my daily commute that drive 3/4 or 1 ton trucks to a job that doesn’t require it. I think ego’s and image play a lot into that. Tells you how much they value others opinion of them over doing what makes sense.

I just bought a 24 ADV 160 that was a trade in with 850 miles on it for 4500. I haven't had a scooter since I was a kid. I had a spree when I was in school but I never thought I would buy another one I love this thing though! I also have a 21 Honda monkey too and I love it too but the scooter is for faster roads

I sold my Honda reflex 250cc scooter and bought a Kawasaki Versys. I regret it even then the Versys is an awesome bike. For the City scooter is something else. I'm gonna buy one again.

I had the Versys 300 and road it down to and around Mexico. It was fine except: hot between the knees; tubed tires; a bit too heavy; and caught a lot of wind because it’s high and relatively light.

Strange. I’m in Thailand and the showrooms are filled with scooters. I’m looking at the X-max and the ADV 350 and the Forza 350 and the brand new 2023 X-Adv. Just walk in and ride out. MSRP and no extra fees like the transportation fee nonsense.

coming from NZ most of us seem to have had a scooter at some stage of life, particularly from school age. I'm currently looking at a touring scooter for my wife. i have had a PGO commet and think it was one of the most things ever! the wife wants a step through mainly for comfort and wind and rain protection. the problem is here if you want to have a scooter over 50cc you have to have a motorcycle licence so she has to learn on a motorcycle anyway even though she doesn't want to ride a motorcycle lol. tell me what you think of the 400-500cc scooters for long distance travel

I don't know what your budget is but personally I'd love to get the BMW c 400 gt. I love BMW aesthetics. I wish I could get it. I have the Honda ADV 150, it's not quite fast enough up inclines for my liking to be safe.

The big vs small stigma is still here. When I had a small bike I'd make it my priority to give bikers the biker wave. Probably 98% of big touring bikes I got no response. Funny though, probably 98% of all crotch rockets I did get a response. Hmmmm. To each his own cause I don't care. Once in awhile someone who honestly want to know how I like it or just asking questions about riding in general, I always enjoyed talking to them and they have all been so nice. Small rural towns of course.

My Ford ranger gets better gas mileage than my Honda express moped did. I paid to go slow haha. Parts were expensive too.

I want another one, but here in Florida, especially on the east coast, it’s a death trap. Now if they made everyone ride a scooter then it would be safer. But, we all know that every fourwheeler out there is a hired assassin waiting to collect.

I wish that ADV-150 would come to Canada. Right now it's only in the USA. I'm not sure why though. And I also wish Honda and others would stop with lack of colours options. What they do it make about 3 colours per model year and give oh lets say red to Canada in 2022 and in the US they get red, blue, black. Then in 2023 Canada will get the black like oh look - here is your spanking new 2023 model. Geez! It's the same 2022 black that was sold in the US the year before.

You forgot to mention my scooter .the piaggio mp3 500 . The problem here in USA is some people are scare because the car driver here are not use to quite small motorcycles like Asia and Europe . But with gas prizes nowadays that may change ? What we need here in USA is bullet trains between big city's and safe . OPEC wouldn't like that . And Yes e cars also damage the environment some ?

My local Honda is the only Honda power sports in a 200mile range (ny) they told me they got 2 ruk, 2 metros, 2 cubs and 1 pcx 1 adv. no choice and all they’ll see till 25 😅

I'll tell you the truth I had a man do the same thing to me with my scooter laughing at me I'm not a real motorcycle rider and I ran into him about 6 months later he had I think like a 1000 CC and hes all crippled up because he wrecked at those kinds of speeds that's why don't buy a bike that big I have special needs son and 3 old dogs and safety for my family's 1st

The whole stigma thing is a bit exaggerated. I've had both motorcycles and scooter, and have ridden both in the US and overseas in SE Asia. Riding a scooter in the US, anything lower than a 150cc scooter gets a bit too risky. Cagers just dont care too much to look out for you.

Not really, take a Suzuki Burgman 200 scooter for example, it gets 80mpg average for me, and a few years ago my Suzuki dr200 dualsport got also around 75-80 mpg as well.

I got a ruckus because i needed the cheapest transportation i could get, turns out iam a "biker" lmao, half those so called real harley guys don't ride half the miles and do half the stuff i do on my ruckus, i ride all year even when its 0degree Fahrenheit when those guys got their hogs in garage, so i ask who is the real bike lol, seriously though, i plan on getting the adv 160 next month and keeping the ruckus for friends or family who might want go moto camping, or for my teenage daughter when she figures out riding a scooter actually makes you cool lol!! Also if its not a real motorcycle, so be it, i fine with what it actually is, and actually it is more efficient and has lot of advantages over big real motorcycles! So someone says get a real bike..i punch them in face then say i don't want a real bike, you get a life!! Lmao😂

The they're made in Taiwan the kitco and the SYM the only problem with them and their great scooters do not take me wrong they can almost arrive at LA Honda and that I've had 1 for 5 years the only problem is getting them repaired you have to go back to whatever little shop has the license to sell the parts in everything there and if you go to any other shop they'd look at it and think it's just a cheap Chinese bike and want to throw cheap parts on there and everything on this bike is not cheap I would stick with a Honda

Suzuki Burgman 200 and 400 exist Burgman 650 is no longer offered in the US. The stigma is coming from the older union types. Because the US only produces big V-Twin cruisers and you are clearly not riding something made by an American unionized worker. As their numbers are almost gone now the stigma of riding a Chinese Communist motorcycle is now pretty much gone. (anything under 600cc is not made in Japan due to labor cost, and most (mainly Honda) are now Chinese made)

They make some great Scooters these days. Whats not to like if it has 2 wheels and a motor. Love mine also Xmax 300 (380-400km on 10 litres of fuel, Hwy and city combined) it saves time and money on my daily commute.🛵🚙🛻🚚🚛🚗
